Does Scotland count as 'abroad' if he was to go there? (Not that there is ANY suggestion he might - I'm just curious how this compensation would work)
Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba, 30, will be offered £128m over three years to join a club in Saudi Arabia
Yes, that's where all the has beens are off to. Saudi Arabia are trying to prepare for what life will look like after the oil exports finish.

An interesting take on the line up! what about Mehetmi / Cornick /Weimann? we seem to have quite a deep squad now without anymore!
not to mention Pring/ Benarous / King/ Conway /Naismith/ Vyner / Williams / James/ harvey wiles ... a team almost in itself .. HNM and Kalas still have contracts on the table!
I think he can play RB as well, that’s part of the reason Wilson was let go, we’ve got RB cover meaning he’s surplus to requirements.
Unless Scott goes I don’t see anymore incomings, apart from a keeper, Even if Scott goes I’m not sure we need any more. We’ve Mehmeti, Knight, Weiman, Benarous, and maybe even Sykes who can play No 10. We’ve also got midfield cover, it’s a balance, an overloaded squad is no better than one that’s too small, we want ALL players to feel they’ve got a chance of playing. We also need a pathway to the first team for young players, it’s what will allow us to attract top young talent here, I feel that’s really important, we don’t want to choke that off either.
What keepers are available, that we could get? I’d like a more experienced striker as well to help the kids with their development. That said. If NP plays Weimann up front we have goals, it’s when he drops deep, or plays as a RWB he’s totally ineffective. My concern with our current forward line is the lack of height, we don’t offer much from crosses for opposing defenders.
Nakhi seems good at helping develop youngsters, his partnership will Conway has been instrumental in helping him progress. I’ve no idea what keepers are available, but unless one of the youngsters is believed to be good enough we need someone to at the very least push Max. Totally agree about Weiman, much more affective in the opposition half than ours.
He does indeed, that was a very fortuitous coming together of Wells and Conway. Wells had been shunned by NP (much like HNM and to a lesser extent, Kalas) and was headed out the door until they played together in the U23’s and forged a great understanding. Sometimes these things happen without any thought or planning.
I knew you’d take the bait All joking aside, Reid was already in the team, playing as an attacking midfielder, so not demoted and cast aside to the U23’s as Wells was. Although, the previous season, Reid couldn’t score in a brothel, and never looked like a striker capable of the goals he got the following season.
