Why not just give up smoking without the need for a dummy, what a useless society we live in, people can't cope unless someone holds their hand. Trading standards should close all these vape shops and drive them underground like the feckless drug trade....but don't get me started on that one.
I used capes to quit smoking, and they made it easy. 3 months later it was very easy to quit the vapes. They have benefit in that way.
Just goes to show the initial reasoning behind vaping, which was to stop people smoking, works. It’s turning into something entirely different now however and needs much better regulation.
I’ll still have a cheeky snout if I’m having a drink with someone who smokes mind. But not having 20 a day for 2 years the difference is mental. I’d tried cold Turkey and patches wasn’t happening, vapes it was almost instant. They did work for that purpose.
Mad how much it's rained this summer. I've had to cover the soil of our potted olive tree up as it hasn't had a chance to dry up and the roots will be rotting soon if they aren't already.
There's only one at the bottom but every time I check the soil it's wet at the top so must be worse lower down. Hopefully it drains enough to stay healthy. It's never been the happiest plant, didn't help that I buggered up last year and moved it into a smaller pot than the one before. Still got a lot to learn about gardening but I'm getting into it.
The main thing with olive trees is they should be stood on feet, not on the ground and I would put it back in a larger pot with very gritty compost
It is on feet mate fortunately and I rectified the mistake this year by putting it back in a big pot. Fair bit of tentative new growth although it's still a bit sad looking. Good tip on the compost never thought of that but it makes sense.
Care to hoy a picture up? I'm always looking at people's gardens as I go about to get ideas and see what they've done with it. I'd say this is the first year I've really taken an interest in gardening beyond just a rudimentary approach. Got loads of plants researched for planting next spring.
