There's a whole bunch of "If Spurs sell Harry Kane they'll look to sign Dusan Vlahovic" rumours coming from more than one source

Although it does have to be pointed out, given those sources include FootMercato, the one time I had rare duck that too was coming from more than one source until 5am...

 

The transfers regarding the positions we really need to fill seem to have an aura of Levy about them

Tapsoba dragging on is more to do with extenuating circumstances outside of our control, mainly as Leverkusen were facing the very real threat of needing to replace two of last season's back three as a result of
- Tapsoba joining us
- Jonathan Tah having a very affordable release clause in his contract (although that clause reportedly expired yesterday)
- Piero Hincapie being injured on international duty last month, with initial fears he may need surgery

That's presumably why we reportedly have personal terms already agreed with van de Ven, so we have one CB more or less sorted out regardless of what happens with Tapsoba or Adarabioyo or Random CB We Haven't Heard About Yet (for example Itakura at A German team, who was linked with us the other day)

 

Honestly at this stage any player signed before the season has already started is a massive bonus.

This window so far has been Vintage Levy, 3 deals wrapped up relatively quickly because they were good deals, Maddison - below market rate, Vicario - half the price of the #1 GK target, and Solomon - free. Potential deals for desperately needed CB`s will be dragging on because the selling clubs want good money and Levy will not want to pay the going rates. Sometimes it pays to splash out a little extra to get deals concluded as early as possible, so key players can have plenty of time to be integrated into the team. Unfortunately Levy and his ego won`t let this happen, his actions in the transfer market often gets in the way of progression, something which Ange will find out all too soon.

 

You could check your logic by making a list of all our signings and seeing if the early signings where we paid the full whack did better than the late ones where we haggled. The first list will have Sanchez, Richarlison, Ndombele, Sessegnon and Lo Celso on it

Di Marzio is linking us with Juventus LB Andrea Cambiaso, who is reportedly valued at €25m

Potentially interesting, as he is in effect a left-sided Emerson in the way he is more of a trad LB but is often deployed as a LWB and has a game which is broadly similar, as he's just as likely to hug the touchline to aim a cross into the box as he is to cut inside and play short passes

The difference is that, defensively, he's closer to Ben Davies than to Emerson, which certainly could fit if we have asymmetrical FBs as that would give us Porro/Cambiaso and Emerson/Udogie as the pairings

 

Seems Kane really want's to come to OT but Levy would rather get his money from France or Germany.
Couldn't care less about his most loyal players wishes, just looking for the biggest payday. Typical of the man.

Reported by whom, our Northern biased media? If he wants a move to United he can have it for free next summer otherwise he goes where the club says he can go if they are prepared to spend the money, the quoted 'difficulty in negotiating a deal with Spurs owner Daniel Levy' is likely to be that you don't appear to have the money he is demanding as it will require substantially more than you paid for Mount and rightly so.

If Kane is to go to a PL club, IMHO it should be the Poool.
Anywhere else would just be :

- a big waste of time and space for Kane other than taking the PL scoring record
- or aiding and abetting a Sugga Daddy FC (who do not deserve to have him)

By whom 'is it reported' that Harry wants to leave, yet alone go to United? I was watching the programme 'Hot Ones' last night as he was the guest trying out various spicy sauces, not usually his norm,( quite funny) and answering questions in between, one of which was 'what is your favourite footie song'? He replied 'he's one of our own' as on his first game for us he scored & the fans started singing it for the first time & made him realize they appreciated he'd come through the academy, scored & thought that 'very special'.He's been at Spurs since he was 11. I do recommend you watch this programme if you like Harry Kane, its on You Tube.
