Something that i've had a problem with for many a year now. we just dont know how to get value out of transfers. whether we buy injured players, past it players or duds we do not know how to get a good deal. hearing llabia's or what ever that twunt's name is charging us an extra 12k ontop of the 35m is the straw thats broke the camels back. just some of the recent lowlights: Downing - 20m no assists or goals Carroll - 35m Donkey that doesnt suit our style Henderson - 16-20m a never has been charlie pissing adam - 7-9m out of his depth aqualani - 20m bought when injured, quality when fit but didnt fit in anywhere when gerrard was fit. keane - 20m dud Cole - on a "free" but costs us 100 odd grand a week. sent off on debut and down hill from there. I find it hard to belive i someone, although captaining at county level but in no way a football scout, would have spent these funds more wisely. who the hell signs these cheques ?! i hear all this guff that we were forced into buying carroll as torres put in a transfer request or we asked chelsea for 15m more than carroll's worth...yadda yadda, what a crock. i cant have been the only one who thought wtf ! when carroll was bought, we dont have any wingers !!!!!!!!.... we STILL dont, if your gonna spunk 35m on a target man, you spend the summer getting some fricking wingers. only Liverpool are capable of so many crap purchases but more so at ridiculous prices ! someone needs to get a grip here, maybe kenny cant spot a player anymore. The whole joe cole , aqualani debacle just sums this club up...go out and sign 2 notoriously injury prone players on ridic contracts that play in the same position as your then club captain and best player Joe cole is not a winger. Aqualani (although plays cm for milan) is not hard enough to play cm in the prem. both loaned out anyway so dont know why im getting irate...oh thts right, were still paying the majority of their wages.....classic. Henderson, i'll cut a bit of slack as he doesnt lose the ball or put us in the sh*t like charlie adam does, only prob is...he cost 16m !!!!! imagine what we could have done with all this cash...its actually criminal the way we spent it. I think comolli and who else is responisble should be put on a 2 season football manager course hell they should play as everton thatll teach em the value of money. rant over.
forgot coates thats 80-85m which has hasnt massvly improved the squad from the end of last season. i truley belive with the same squad we finished last season excluding andy carroll and including meireles (another stupid decision !) we would actually be higher than we are now and at least 70m better off to boot ! Adebayour was available on a free, hell peter crouch was 12m if thats the way you want to go ! and if commoli and co had absolutley ANYTHING about them they would have demanded sturridge plus a huge fee or NO DEAL !..look at newcastle they demanded an extra 12k just to take the p after robbing us for a carthorse that was valued at 1m the previous season....s

it makes me angry as the players coming and going over the years have been ridiculous and it just seems to be getting worse, we shoot ourselves in the foot time and time again. look at chelsea, utd, city, arsenal hell spurs they all on the whole buy quality players for the fees they pay. we get fleeced everytime.
