Talking of FFP: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66203315 Man U breach the rules and get £250k fine? That's less than a weeks wage for their 3 top earners...
Unfortunately because the lower echelons of society have this I don't do politics attitude they have tougher lives than they deserve. They all say that until they're impacted personally and then they cry the loudest. Tories at least have the brains to vote.
the club accepted the fine "for what Uefa acknowledges to be a minor technical breach of its previous Financial Fair Play rules, this reflected a change in the way that Uefa adjusted for Covid-19 losses during the 2022 reporting period, which allowed us to recognise only 15m euros of the 281m euros of revenues lost due to the pandemic within the FFP calculation" Correct me if I'm wrong but is that not stating they declared £281m losses and only £15m of which was considered under the Covid loss adjustments - so they were £266m over the budget? Hardly seems like a small miscalculation if that's the case.
But then at least you could have told us who we are buying. Take one for the team, man. Bigger picture and all that.
