Can’t believe we are yet again talking about needing a LB a CB 2 CMs and strikers. Been obvious for 2 seasons and here we are again. By the way amazed that Cooper got MoM in one review and 4/10 in most others. Greenwood 8/10 and 3/10 etc we all must see different things ffs
I watched about 20 mins of first half and what struck me was our continued preference to **** about with the ball at the back and the number of times it ended up with Manure nicking the ball and putting us under pressure. When will they learn!!!
So YEP reporting that Ritter, Gyabi and Hjelde stood out and gave Farke something to work with. 2nd half showed Bate and Joseph as the only 2 stand outs? we all see things different
Gyabi, on the face of it, didn’t do that great but he showed flashes of good footwork and his passing was decent once he got some space. It was a 6 out of 10 but he was the only one really looking to receive the ball from the back and if we keep Adams then he will have some help with that. It was far too easy for scum to crowd him out as we were so predictable. I think he could be ideal alongside Adams. I'd still like to see Hamer come in though. I thought Rutters passing was on point, particularly his link up with Sinisterra. Dramah had a couple of iffy moments but he is tall, works hard, is quick and has a good engine. I think we just have to go all in on Dramah and play him. Ayling looked poor when he came on and will have to do with playing second fiddle this year. The rest of the defence looked shaky at times and I'm sick of watching poor players try and play out from the back. I'm not sure I can survive another season of Bamford throwing his hands in the air as if its always someone else's fault whilst he wanders around missing chance after chance. His body language was a disgrace today. Hope Farke bombs him out.
Just saw the highlights. Struijk was terrible for the first goal, nothing has changed with him, time to get rid.
Struijk lost all confidence at the back end of Bielsas time here. He's not recovered since. It's nothing personal with him but he won't recover at Leeds. It's just best for us AND him if he leaves and has a fresh start probably back in Europe.
A big problem this loan clause because it’s not over yet. We have made cash on Roberts, McCalmont and Rodrigo but in the case of Rodrigo nowhere near his actual value for a player with a year left. Mitrovic for example has only a year and is worth £30m we got a max of £5m and a minimum of £3.5m. A disgrace. We a,so spent £77m on players we just loaned out so only brought in £2.5m so far in loan fees but still have years of payments to make but get no use from these players for another year and in the case of Koch he walks away on a free. We still have the likes of Firpo who cost £13m but will be going out on loan for a loan fee only so that’s £90m spent with only loan fees coming in. Costa will be going out on loan yet again and he walks on a free next summer. Yes we are getting wages taken off the books but getting shafted and all because of these loan clauses we handed out. Bad business and seems Orta at the heart of everything bad at this club
Sadly we’ve basically flushed the precious parachute payments down the toilet for next couple of seasons just to stabilise the club. As things stand I’d settle for a couple of mid table finishes but even that will be difficult. Farke a good manager though and he’ll hopefully dig up a bunch of loanees of our own but suspect he might be stuck with the likes of Shackleton, Costa, Poveda, strujyk Bamfords to make up numbers. I’ve never rated orta as anything other than a chancer but despise him now for what he’s done.
