He seems to have fluffed his lines. Had a stonking season at Sparta Rotterdam and has failed to make any sort of impact outside of the negative. He is young and there's a decent raw talent in there. Whether he can recover whilst at Watford is another matter.
Couple of iffy games for us seem to have put fans and managers off too. Probably be the sort of player who will go elsewhere and do well then our lot will say “if only “
The first of this season’s informal Q&As between Hornets’ supporters and members of the club’s senior leadership team will happen ‘At Our Place’ on Thursday August 10 at Watford FC’s London Colney training facility, with a 6.30pm start. https://www.watfordfc.com/news/news-join-us-at-our-place-in-august
All those meejah muppets raving about how wonderful John Stones has become obviously never saw Ian Bolton.
Probably because previous meejah muppets labelled him as a 'hoofball' specialist who could kick a ball high. It always amused me that they would go into orgasmic rhapsodies if Glenn Hoddle delivered a single pinpoint, 40 yard pass during a game, yet were so dismissive of Ian Bolton doing exactly the same multiple times in virtually every game he played in. We really upset their little world back in the day...
My Dad used to say to me: They say we're not skilful but hitting a pinpoint pass 60 yards to a player is a real skill. Yeah, it was fine when Glen Hoddle did it...
Some good news for the Academy. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/watford-set-for-major-transfer-boost-over-celtic-brentford-target/
"We’re pleased to confirm that Tom Cleverley has taken up a role as a PDP Coach with the Under-18 squad!"
I remember a newspaper columnist (not his name) who wrote that the difference between Watford (upstarts) and Liverpool (greatest club in Europe during the eighties) was that Watford won the ball, passed to Bolton who hit a 40yd pinpoint pass to the foot of Barnes or Callahan to set up a chance, while Liverpool won the ball and played it backward and sideways until the opposition midfield died of boredom then hit a 60yd pass for Rush to chase and fall over in the box to win a penalty
As thought just training with us to keep fit . https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/23654849.gosling-manaj-pictured-watfords-training-ground/
I doubt very much that this will ever affect me, unless I move back to Watford - changes to ticketing arrangements for match goers. https://www.watfordfc.com/news/tick...vQzuwbHHsCbYE3EfacweqCBXegawSzdU_0P-rsm4CCswA
I think I'm going to be quite irritated by this. Particularly when much of one's purchasing history is erased.
I was A+ and was among the 850 odd to get first dibs at a Woking ticket. I was offered a year's grace due to Mrs Fez needing to be shielded and I'm vulnerable too, and got to six aways last season (I usually manage ten). Prima facie it seems I'm being punished for the season before last.
There are a lot of comments doing the rounds about this. A common theme is the cost, including travel on the coach. Someone says that a typical away day will cost him £80, when multiplied by twenty-three it is beyond his reach now.
£20 to a London match isn't great value for money. To anywhere else, and let's face it, after QPR and Millwall the next nearest / quickest journey is probably Leicester, it's fantastic value. Hopefully match prices will stay at £30...
