There's a global demographic catastrophe coming, and all the developed countries will desperately need young people to pay for the old. If we can come up with a strategy that allows young families to come here we'll be laughing. We're amongst the best positioned to do it because we've got a long history of migration being a positive thing. You can't just let anyone in though.
Just before my time. Preferred Morecambe and Wise and the Two Ronnies. Weirdly there was a bar in Magaluf called Benny Hill when I was going through a few weeks ago. Who gets that reference any more?
Quite ironic that some people actually thought Boris was funny now he's become the joke ... ... he's managed to become more like Mussolini than the Churchill he thought he was. Mussolini had a ridiculously inflated self image, loved dressing up and still has a fanatical knot of slavishly devoted supporters with his poster on their bedroom wall
Only Boris didn't go into the magic changing room like Mr. Benn did. He got changed in the magic fridge
Whatever you say about Boris he gave his man-crush crew a few laughs at first ... ... but is the gift that keeps on giving to everyone else now It's absolutely nailed on that a man who's a disgraced ex MP, and disgraced PM, will be all over the general election telling everyone where they're going wrong. It's funny that he's had to resort to going back to his job at a newspaper to get people to listen to him .... ... only a matter of time before he's sacked for making up quotes again
At last, a policy noone can argue with .... "Former government ministers will be fined or have their pensions docked if they breach tough new rules on lobbying, to be proposed by Labour this week." https://amp.theguardian.com/politic...ined-lobbying-rules-labour-plan-angela-rayner
If you ever wondered why Boris Johnson was such a pushover when he approved the NUFC/Saudi deal ... ... here it is in black & white. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money...Saudis-UK-investment-drive-goes-throttle.html "Lucid is majority-owned by the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth arm of the Saudi state, which is responsible for channelling billions of pounds' worth of fossil fuel money into projects and companies around the globe. The PIF is estimated to manage assets worth more than £500billion and is chaired by Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler and prime minister, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of the ruling Al Saud dynasty, who is commonly known by his initials, MBS.
Bonko isn't prejudiced when it comes to the colour of money. He'll take backhanders from any colour or creed of despot
The witch hunt continues, the Boris fan club will be crying into their pillows MPs approve privileges committee report saying Boris Johnson's allies tried to undermine partygate probe. Commons leader Penny Mordaunt said she hoped it would bring an end to the "sorry affair" after the privileges committee accused 10 Conservative politicians of being part of a coordinated attempt to undermine the panel's report. Anyone think these WhatsApp’s will be the end of the line for Sunak ? It’s not just Johnson trying to hide them. I suspect it could cause damage for a few including his next door neighbour, wife. Normal criminal suspects get theirs examined.
