In a letter to the BBC, the lawyer makes claims that throw doubt on the story that has dominated front pages through the weekend. It says the young person sent a denial to the Sun on Friday evening via WhatsApp saying the statement their mother made to the newspaper was “totally wrong and there was no truth to it”. Nonetheless, the lawyer said, the Sun newspaper proceeded to publish “their inappropriate article”.
So as I understand it the mother who isn’t in contact with her child has gone to the gutter press rather than the police for a payday which they’ve chosen to publish despite being told it’s bollocks by the kid’s lawyer and defamed a load of totally innocent celebrities in the process. Another victory for British journalism.
Or maybe the BBC celeb has given the kid a load more crack money to deny that he was ever used and abused by a grade 1 nonce. The parents have now double downed and said they stand by everything they said.
Not really a nonce given the age anyway. Bit creepy and weird but legal. The Sun v The BBC. I think I know which I’d trust based on what we know so far.
If the request for sexually explicit pictures started at 17 then it's illegal. I am sure it has happened before and will happen in the future too. However it is only front page news due to the "status" of the older man. But still waiting to understand what really is going on here though...so many different stories and sides....so many axes to grind
