Agree, a waste of money , still I’d preferred we paid it than carry on playing him though. Whenever he got the ball the rest of the team dropped back into their defensive positions as they knew he’d lose it.
If this goes through I think that’s us done for this window, unless Scott goes and then we’ll get another midfielder and bank the rest. except another keeper, we do need competition for Max at the very least.
He left the wording in, but it was a tweet from someone at West Ham. So it looks like it was his friend told him direct.
Bristol City defender seals Derby County transfer as Robins look to conclude Jason Knight deal Kane Wilson has moved to Pride Park on a two-year contract after failing to make an impact under Nigel Pearson https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-transfer-derby-knight-8589760
Wilson is a strange one, I’m convinced there’s more to it than meets the eye, his injury took him out of contention initially, but others have been injured and come back to claim a place. Tanner was in an almost exact same position at the end of last season, he too came from L2, found the physical transition difficult and had a similar injury which kept him out of contention, resulting in his first season almost being written off, coupled with Niges comments in relation to Wilson’s attitude towards the end of last season and being left out of the squad even when we were struggling for defenders at the end of the season and demoted to the Under 21’s seem to suggest a falling out between Wilson and NP, I was quite excited when he joined. Whilst we’ve changed our shape since he joined and he’s predominantly a WB, I thought he could have played in the role Sykes plays, in front of a full back. like I said more to it than meets the eye Imo.
I'd like to see an experienced keeper come in as Number 1 and coach Max IMHO we need a reliable, calm keeper who makes good decisions 99.9% of the time. At this level and in a division that's going to be possibly tougher than ever, I think it will gain us points.
Goalkeeper and a NO9 big strong pacey goal scorer and we could give it a good go. Swansea signing Yates NO 9 from BLACKPOOL GOOD BUSINESS THAT
I’d be surprised if we get a striker TC will fill the role of strong pacy goal scorer, Nakhi is the perfect experienced partner for him, We also have Cornick, Bell, Mehmeti and Sykes.
Jerry Yates is 5’9” so not exactly big. I think we’ve enough forwards TC who will IMO bag 15-20. Bell who will be 1 year more experienced. Wells Cornick and Weinmann. We moved away from this big forward game you keep banging on about.
This is a very very good bit of business-dynamo in the middle long overdue well done Nige and the staff. Nige was instrumental in him coming here- City had two bids rejected for Knight last month but maintained communication with Derby and after Knight returned from his summer break were able to complete the deal over the weekend. “It's been a long time coming behind-the-scenes trying to get it sorted, but I'm happy to be here and I'm looking for the season ahead,” said Knight. “The club have shown a real eagerness to get me here, which is always nice as a footballer - to be wanted. I know Nigel (Pearson) from his time at Derby County and I've had a good number of chats with him, and he sees me as a big part of the plans going forward
Just a keeper now, then I’ll be happy, couldn’t have gone much better really, we seem to have got everything we were looking to get
