She would then be subject to a recall petition in her consttuency and if enough wanted a bi-election then it will be forced through. Deselection means she cannot stand as an official Tory candidate in the following election, it wouldn't boot her out of office.

No surprise that UK Gov (Braverman) led the public condemnation of the BBC on the basis of an unverified Sun 'expose'. They're jointly responsible for the ensuing online pile ons & the potential damage to individuals, not least the likely real victim in all this, Huw Edwards whose life may never be the same. The only good outcome from all this will be if The Sun gets its arse sued off the face of the earth and never darkens UK media again. This should be their final demise!
It is also important for the 'named' to sue the arse off a few of the terrible online abusers.
