Seems like a fairly extreme measure to prove a point to some random online strangers? Did you engage in self-flagellation to force your point home?
YouTube highlights. My view of these highlights, great clearance off the line by Christie. The No6 was being called Leech, im wondering if this was Leake? Is he a midfielder? Their No14 did well for his header, good movement off the ball & got into the position with no one round him. Fleming only highlight in this game is that terrible pass, I was hoping he’d come good, but seems he’s on his way down the leagues with the way his passing & the fact he couldn’t get into the Oxford side last season. Jarvis, did a little run around the box, looks like a strong young player, well taken goal, was aware when the ball came back to him. TLT, WTF was that pass about, almost caused the goal, soft attempt at saving for the equaliser, to me it looks like he got his angles wrong.
Fleming was alright going forward, but a bit of a car crash defending. I remember defending him quite a while ago, pointing out that Robertson's positioning was a bit suspect in his early days with us and look at him now. Trouble is, Fleming doesn't seem to have improved since then. Right now, his best outcome seems like being a left wing back in a League 2 side and see whether regular playing builds the rest of his game. Same though, seems like a nice bloke and we always want local boys to come good. Christie looks back to his best, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing us with two full backs good in possession and a threat going forwards.
He reminds me of Danny East, who always looked handy, left for Pompey and then dropped into non league obscurity. But more talented but I suspect the same route beckons unless he sorts out his positioning.
I was a bit meeeeeeh about Jarvis to be fair. The enthusiasm of Leake and Smith, wanting the ball even telling tother people where they want them was missing, a bit like when Vaughan first played he was obviously intent on taking his chance. I didnt see that in Jarvis despite the goal.
