Good Morning. It's Monday 10th July, and here are the latest headline from Elland Road.

At least six new faces expected at Elland Road

Leeds are confident of bringing in at least six new faces to Elland Road, but only once they have trimmed down their wage bill, according to an article in Football Insider. Diego Llorente, Robin Koch and Brenden Arronson have all left Elland Road in the few days (all on loan), whilst Joel Robles and Adam Forshaw, who were both invited back to pre-season training, have decided not to return.

With only 27 days between now and the visit of Cardiff City, fans must be sweating like a BBC presenter who thought this week would be a good time to take some annual leave! Players take time to gel, and the longer they leave it, the more difficult it will be to unearth the bargains.

The article suggests Leeds are in the market for a new keeper, centre-back, right-back, left-back, winger and striker, though having already lost four midfielders from last season (if you count McKennie), and with Marc Roca's switch to Real Bettis imminent, perhaps they should refocus their efforts on the middle of the park.

Fulham may scupper Leeds bid to sign Sky Blues ace

Leeds have been dealt a hammer blow in their pursuit of Coventry City midfielder Gustavo Hamer. According to Phil Hay, the 26yo is high on Daniel Farke's most wanted list, but the Whites now face competition from Premier League outfit Fulham.

Hamer stood out last season, and was instrumental in helping the Sky Blues all the way to the play off final, where they eventually lost to Luton Town after a penalty shoot out. He netted 11 times last season, and provided 11 assists.

Brazilian born Hamer, moved to the Netherlands as a toddler, where he was adopted. His talent for the beautiful game was spotted by Feyenoord when he was 14. He spent seven years in Rotterdam developing his skills before moving on to PEC Zwolle. In 2020, Coventry City shelled out £1m for the defensive midfielder. He currently has 12 months remaining on his contract.

49ers will pull out all the stops to keep Adams

49ers Enterprises will do everything in their power to keep Tyler Adams at Elland Road next season, according to an article in the Daily Mirror. Adams, 24, a fans favourite from the moment he touched down in West Yorkshire, has been linked with a host of top flight moves, yet the investment conglomerate (the 11th wealthiest sporting investment group in the world, according to Forbes) will pull out all the stops, in an attempt to make him stay.

Keeping someone of his class at Elland Road would dramatically improve Leeds' chances of automatic promotion. His dogged performances and organisational skills also make him the ideal candidate for the Captains armband next term, but is he willing to sacrifice chances of potential silverware, and risk his International career having dropped down to the Championship!

Paraag Marathe and Co will know the importance of keeping the USA skipper on board, and will, no doubt be making promises to him. There has been very little to cheer about this Summer, and actions speak louder than words. The rebuilding process must start now!

    Llorente's subliminal dig at Leeds

After much toing and froing, Diego Llorente has rejoined Roma on a season long loan. Little is known about the move, and whether it includes a buy out clause, but what we do know is, Llorente is delighted to leave Elland Road.

Speaking from his twitter account, the 29yo told Roma fans he did everything in his power to force the move, and expressed his delight to be back alongside his team-mates (Roma, not Leeds).

“I’ve always known I’d do everything possible to stay, not just to remain part of such a historic club, but also to be back alongside my team-mates to fight together, with our fans, to achieve targets that we deserve,”

Morning all. When you see the carry on of players like Llorente and what they've stolen from the club in transfers and wages, it's difficult to get motivated with the playing staff. He really is the modern day professional epitomised

If you count Roca we have got rid of 8 players so far but Chelsea fear being in the shyt with FFFP rules so have already got rid of 9 with more on the way. Pulisic will be No10 on yet another cut price move. Chelsea were offered a lot more for him but Pulisic wanted to go Italy so Chelsea having to take a £14m haircut to get rid of him. As Eire said the players can do whatever they want to do to suit themselves. Makes no difference how much a club offers for a player if the player refuses to go. We had that with Raphinha who refused a great deal with Chelsea so Leeds had to deal with Barcelona.

If its true that Hamer is wanted by Fulham too, then he will go to Fulham, unless he thinks he will be a benchwarmer. Silva as a coach has a great CV and reputation over FARKE so far, so why wouldn’t he choose prem over championship.

Where are those positions from? CM is essential and right back only needed if Cody going.

Other clubs will now look at Leeds as easy pickings. Rodrigo/firpo/meslier could all go out as loans. Maybe Adams will be loaned as well so he can line his pockets with lots of cash.

    Afternoon all

Llorente has fast become a player I detest. Onwards and upwards, income is **** but at least we’re getting these disruptive ****ers out and away from the group.

Getting them out before new ones come in is a good move, we don’t need players arriving and finding a bad atmosphere on day one

People are suggesting the contract extension to Llorente is dodgy.

Costa is now back at TA but think he and those expected to leave will all be separated from those staying by the time the squad get back from Norway. So Harrison Gnonto, Kristensen Adams, Summerville, Rodrigo, Firpo, Costa, Jenkins, Poveda, Hjelde………..we should see Shackelton and Bate added to this group too

I can't believe that we have a game lined up on Wednesday. Just hope Manure don't take it seriously otherwise a hammering will not set the right tone or do our chnces any good for the coming season.

Smyth's prediction outlines the amount of work in terms of recruitment that is now needed to get the squad in shape for Cardiff City on August 6th.

The side heading to Oslo looks like it is lacking depth and quality in a number of areas, and there is less than a month to modify the squad ahead of the new season.
