His Ryan Taylor comment is immense. Such a pity all our team spirit left in the summer with the other scousers isn't it...

    Great news.

Really need him to marshall the midfield.

Is Cabaye looking like he's going to play as well? If so then it just leaves the right side of midfield. Any news on Obertan or Marveaux?

“I watched the Stoke game on TV and was very happy to see Demba Ba score a hat-trick and for the way we defended against all their set-pieces."

Well, well, well Mr Tiote. I have it on very good authority that you in fact did not watch the Stoke game, certainly not live anyway. Instead you spent the evening at the Jesmond Dene House hotel, not watching the game, and therefore I concur that your alibi is false and it was in fact you, in the dining room with the candle stick and not Colonel Mustard as was originally thought. Thank you.

I've never stayed there, but I'd guess they have a TV?

SoOOOOOOO relieved to hear that our first choice centre midfield partnership will be back ready for the big stretch... We sure need our best players to get anything from the upcoming games..

Ye I'm sure they do, but he wasn't watching it!! <laugh> (I have a contact - could be useful in January lads!!!)

Probably had to watch it in training anyway though...

Great news on Tiote, Guthrie has been great, but with Cabaye and Tiote we look solid and dangerous!

I had a dream we drew 1:1 last night...I don't have any recollection of the game but all my Manure supporting Uni mates were fuming!

Your dream is illogical, surely they'd be delighted?

I expect Guthrie will start against Citeh, Pardew's got a history of sticking with a winning formula. Tiote will be eased back in like Ben Arfa et al., probably half an hour this week and in the team next week or the week after (unless Guthrie starts scoring loads).

Who remembers last season, when him and Ben Arfa were new and were good friends because of the French speaking element, after Ben Arfa went off against City there was a moment when De Jong went down and Tiote got over his body and looked down on him with all that hate in his eyes. I've never been more afraid for someone's life. Bring on the weekend....round two.

Excuse me Inspector Morse but the counsel for the defence would to point out that at no stage did Mr Tiote say he watched it live, surely just shows we're paying him too much if he can afford Sky+ <ok>

Get in. Its all going our way, they've just had to cancel the friendly between Senegal and Ivory Coast because of problems with flights, so Demba gets a night off risk free and returns early. We're all systems go with Cabaye fit. Any news on Obertan and Marveaux or is it likely Benni time?
