The fact that it says it’s an option to buy in two different languages, suggests it’s an option to buy.
Well of course it's going to say it in two languages, as one is translating from the other. As the English is the translation not the original, I was clarifying there wasn't anything missed in translation. An obligation on promotion is still not set in stone, so some may phrase it as an option as a trigger has to be met. But thank you for the observation.
Agreed. That’s an outrageous amount of money even for a newly-promoted team for someone who’s career has stagnated for the last couple of years.
I guess like Howden said, if we're paying it, it hopefully means we've stormed the league with him in the team of the season and is worth every penny. Otherwise yes hopefully there's no chance we pay it.
If he’s brilliant for us all season and the best full back in the division which he has the potential to be, that’s probably the going rate.
I have no issue with it. It's an option at the end of the day and if he does have a fantastic season it stops us being taken to the cleaners like Chelsea are trying to do to Burnley for Maatsen.
From now on any post ending FACT! will not be accepted unless it is written in two languages. That is un fait!
I’m pretty sure we’ve agreed the option to secure the loan, I seriously doubt we’ve any intention of paying an eight figure fee for a left back, even if we were to get promoted.
Isnt the option to buy merely the same as a buy out clause.Assuming he proves his fitness, plays well for us and we don’t get promoted..The marker is down for another club next year.
