I'll have you know, and @JakartaToon can testify to the fact that it's roughly 24 hours of travel each way from NCL to Jakarta and if I were to be going on a holiday it would be to Bali, not a Hilton on the edge of a Jakartan shanty town. My hotel literally has a bomb detector zone all cars need to drive into before you can drive up to reception. Jak has had the sniffer dogs round his car more times than Escobar ever did when he picks me up
Sniffer dogs are looking for explosives - Muslim fundamentalists target American hotels. Already done the Marriot and Ritz Carlton so that's probably why Chippy gets a good rate at the Hilton. If they are not targetting the hotels its the Western Bars and Pubs. Chippy will deserve a holiday if he makes it out of here in one piece.
You think you have it tough. I am leaving on the flight after yours, 8hrs to Doha, 2hrs there, 8hrs to Oslo, 6hrs there for a quick meeting, then another 2.5hrs to Manchester. Still manage to do it all in the same day with the time difference.
