I was listening to the fuss over painting out Mickey Mouse at a child refugee centre - I understand people see it as a representation of making children feel comfortable in a strange and foreign land after a difficult and traumatic journey, I get it and it was wrong to paint it out. However, putting that to one side for a minute, we also shouldn't forget that Mickey Mouse / Disney is a symbol of Americanism, quite simply put a symbol to a world of fantasy, it's a dream of what America would like to be but it does not reflect the federation not one iota. It's a lure of make believe or even a lie, uncle Sam acting out the role of the pied piper to take your cash, take Mickey and Minnie away, then what does America have, nothing, well they have Florida, Trumps biggest fan club, they have Hollywood (California) and Harvey Weinstein, do we really want to be promoting all this to our kids - I know let's take the kids to Epstein Island! Then on the other wall it was Tom and Jerry, well that probably is more a true reflection of the states, it's been playing cat and mouse with China, Russia and the rest of the world for decades. You will never look at Mickey Mouse and Hanna Barbera quite the same ever again.
Everyone needs their own Jesus. Yours just happens to have not included all the bits about being charitable and having compassion on the orphan and widow in and among all the crap.
I feel like there is a gap in the story on this one or I've missed something. When you look up about Russia using clusterbombs, it's claimed it's true by Ukranian leaders (hmm ok), observers and humanitarian groups and human rights groups - fair enough, but they've also said (the latter group) that the Ukraine has used them as well, so where did the Ukraine get those ones from?
Ukraine, like most former Soviet nations, has a large amount of ordinance from the soviet era which has been used throughout this war. The USSR had and utilised cluster bombs during the Soviet-Afghan conflict. Russian cluster bombs were used in Syria, there is videos of them being used, so Russia has them and certainly uses them. Russia used cluster ammunition against Georgia in 2008 also, in turn, Georgia fired it back at them.
