It does seem as though John Terry is in line to start tonight's friendly against Sweden. However, in light of the recent controversy surrounding the England captain concerning allegations of racism, do you think he should?
Exactly what I was looking for. You needed a who cares option, if only to indicate the level of apathy regarding the England team, from the south coast. Would have been interesting, IMO. WHO CARES..? ☑ [Copy & Paste if you have little interest].
Sorry guys, I can't add another option to the poll. Maybe a mod might be able to? Sorry mate no can do!! BT
I am not sure about all this, he has not actually been proved to be a Racist, we all know he tends to open his gob while his brain is disengaged, we all know he has been a bad boy in the past, we all know he isn't all that bad as a footballer, but too many people are quick to condem without having all the facts. He cannot even speak up for himself as the FA have blocked him from defending himself. If it is proved that he is guilty then we should all deplore it and learn lessons from it, until then I am keeping my options open. If he is fit to play and we are short of players in his position then play him, I am not sure if the reception that he may get will put him off though.
Absolutely not. It sends out totally the wrong message - though given what he (and some others) have done in the past and yet still played there clearly is no room for morality in the English game.
Innocent until proven guilty in my book, however he shouldn't play because that sends out the wrong message for jagielka and lescott who were astonishing against spain, dropping them would be foolish.
jagielka has left the squad to get reatment on his toe anyway, I think he should play innocent til proven guilty, although i suspect he is guilty of gobbing off and said something he might not necessarily have meant in that way. I imagine most of us have said something we wish we hadnt almost immediately, having said that i expect him to make a public apology if found guilty and to be dealt within accordance of the law. AND voluntarily retire from international football
yes he should - off field issues should stay off the field imo, talk about his football on the pitch, his antics off it simple as that
No - nothing to do with this ongoing saga either. I think it is time to move on with the England squad. Give the youngsters more playing time.
if the dick of a manager had picked richards, then he should be right back and jones in the middle. jones is not a midfielder- although did a good job and shows excellent flexability
