I can't see why they'd spunk 90 million on Gordon and Barnes and buy another attacking midfielder that would see one of them benched for the majority of the season. Anything left will surely go on a left back, maybe a cb and even a young back up striker?
They'll have to rotate ..... Newcastle have one of the best defenses in the world so there's no immediate rush to reinvent the wheel.
A striker is more likely than another attacking midfielder now Barnes is all but confirmed. Wood was not replaced.
Apparently we haven't made an actual bid for Harvey Barnes yet and value him at £25million. If so, not quite done yet.
I've liked the look of that Gordon lad who just got player of the tournament at the U21s. A winger/forward too.
The training ground do up is just a temporary fix because they will ge building a training ground to rival anything anywhere in the world within 3 years I believe.
