As I recall, what I was saying that I could well understand why Players from countries where the Authorities were not keen on disent, might choose to keep a low profile in order to protect their families still living there.

You did and you're quite right in a way.

I still find it hypocritical that some players can make grand gestures when there are no consequences but turn their heads allow their own countrymen to be murdered at an alarming rate by their own police force.

And while I agree with you, I don't feel that I have any right to judge someone who say's 'MY family comes first'.

Sat here in UK, with a fair degree of free speech, I can make MY protest.

But for those who may not have that luxury, I'm in no position to ccondem them id they take a different view.

"The only thing necessary for evil to triumph in the world is that good men do nothing."

I don't believe that a hit squad would be sent round to wipe out Ndidi's family tbh ...

... if that would actually happen it's even more of a reason to ask questions.

And if you're not prepared to stand up for your beliefs why kneel down for George Floyd.

Great that we have such brave people standing up for decency, honesty and integrity <doh>

'A key organiser of the protest in Bristol during which a statue of the slave trader Edward Colston was toppled and dumped in the city’s harbour has been jailed for two and a half years for fraud.

Xahra Saleem, 23, admitted using more than £30,000 that was supposed to go to a charity for disadvantaged youngsters in the city to fund her lifestyle, including spending almost £6,000 on Uber rides.

    People in glass houses.....
Well after Cpt Tom's daughter and now this people need to think long and hard before giving their hard earned cash to ' charity ' organisations.
Good timing for the big Children in Need push.

Wait till all the prosecutions start for the unscrupulous employers that cashed in during Covid for Furlough payments ! I dare say an awful lot of Mohamed’s & Abdullahs will be in the dock.
We operated throughout Covid and the amount of “companies” we delivered to that were supposed to be closed was astounding. Mainly in the Leeds, Bradford & Birmingham areas.

The only charity I now support is "Daft as a Brush" so worthwhile a cause and such an inspiring trustee in Brian Burnie.

I have donations set up for a number of direct debits to various charities. Animals etc. Before I donate I check to see how much their directors or CEO's earn from it. Its mind-blowing some of the figures.

Watch the bottom of the tv when there is a charity advert on, don’t watch the advert just read what’s wrote

we guarantee at least 33% of donations goes to the charity, sometimes lower than this. Bloody crooks the lot of them trousering £67 out of every £100 for themselves. Have you never thought why there are so many charities.

I was just laughing with Mrs Smug about a Christmas when I was on the door of the Pump House pub in Nottingham city centre. I was working with a really great lad, Richard, who was only 24, 6'4" and square, a really professional bouncer but not too chatty with the punters, in fact he'd stand there all night like an Easter Island statue.

We had a collection bucket, for the whole pub staff, and I was engaging the queue.

"Ladies & gentlemen, as you enjoy your evening please bear in mind that there are some people less fortunate than yourselves. For example my colleague Richard, you see here, is an orphan ...

... fair enough, he did brutally murder both of his parents, but the point remains, please give generously"
    <laugh>

Not so much as a smile from Rich but the punters were falling apart ...

... by the end of the night they'd hoyed in so many pound coins we had trouser pockets swinging like a circus clown's.
