Fair enough mate, hope you know I respect you, even if we at times are at opposite ends of the scale, and at times I am an arse on this thread.

Same here mate, at least we're capable of seeing both ends of the scale ...

... and can disagree without being disagreeable.

I think you've inadvertently identified the reason tbh.

I think that’s attention seeking, however I die think redirecting charitable benefits into those who actually need the benefit of investment is fair enough. To be honest I think if we did and end to fee paying schools we’d see investment in the other schools and better social integration. Like health, if people can donate more because of their privilege donate more to all. Back to the conversation about selfishness. The win v lose society is so unhealthy

You seem to post quite a lot about DH4 tbh ...

... in fact, more of your comments are about other posters, or their opinions, than actual politics.

I was referring to having an adult discussion.

However, if you want to portray it as softies running away at the first sign of an alternative opinion....

    https://amp.theguardian.com/politics/2023/jul/07/tory-mps-snipe-at-rishi-sunak-five-pledges-amid-polling-concerns

‘It’s game over’: Tory gloom spreads as Sunak fights for his five pledges

Frontbenchers fear they have become ‘zombie government’ with polls indicating PM’s priorities remain unclear to public.

So instead of governing the country, negotiating with strikers or passing legislation Sunak, and his MPs, are staying quiet so they don't upset the voters ...

... ffs, it's almost as if they care about their own interests than ours <doh>

    It's all becoming clear now.

That nice Mr Kwarteng has explained that it's us who are causing all these problems with the economy <doh>

"Former Cabinet minister Kwasi Kwarteng on his 38 days as chancellor ... Kwasi Kwarteng:"

'Covid has left a legacy of dependence on the state'.

Not entirely. It's just reinforced what was already well on it's way to being ensconced.

I've noticed recently that there are people who wish to believe they're closer to the Tory millionaires than the hoi poloi they look down on. In reality they're all just working class with varying levels of middle range cars.

    If I am
There seems to be a lot of people talking about me. One even seemed to be making out I was like Exile reading between the lines. The reason I put so many of these people on ignore is EXACTLY because I do not want an argument. The reason the people who I have on ignore come on here is EXACTLY because they do want an argument. That is the polar opposite.

I still can not get over Mercer's performance on question time. Basically a resignation level of performance. Absolutely tanked and getting slated across all forms of socials.

Sunderland mp Bridgett handled it really well and came across brilliantly.

I watched it live. Was utterly astounded. Career defining for him. Doesn't get much worse like.

Yeah projections are very positive for labour. Shame it's Jan 25! Got the GE. Should be sooner given the mood of the country.
