Sad to say I've done the same. First time ever.

I initially thought (s)he is a WUM but when I realised that wasn't the case they went on ignore. It was that or not read this thread, which would be a shame because while I'm an infrequent poster I do enjoy reading the rational posts from all sides of the political divide.

Whatever he accuses people of, you can be sure he's actually describing himself. Only his opinion counts, he can't cope with a contrary viewpoint and will defend one party and one party alone ... then fanatically deny he's doing it.

He never seems to realise that even people 'of his persuasion' rarely bother to converse with him because he's totally intransigent ...

... he pretends it's all a bit of fun but he's actually seething and it's so obvious.

I just found them to be narrow minded, nothing but aloof criticism.
I rarely express a political opinion unless I'm sure why I'm doing it, I think this poster does the opposite. Might just be an online persona thing, who knows but it's not for me.

Lib dems hold a council seat, just, from the greens. Labour and conservative well down.

Interestingly in Scotland quite a swing to Labour as they win one. Might be an SNP thing, but Scotland has to be watched. I reckon if Labour are to win overall they need big gains in Scotland.

The turnout in the GE will be very interesting.

The Greens, Liberals and other parties could spring a few surprises.

Oh, I agree. The lack of resources is one of the biggest challenges teachers face. More people need to realise that the teacher strikes are as much about that as pay rises.

My point about parental engagement was more in response to Starmer's idea about bringing state schools in line with private schools. It requires a change in attitude amongst people that I don't believe is possible for a government to bring about.

To be honest, and I dont want to be offensive, but you have put more people on ignore for challenging you, or disagreeing with you, or having a different opinion, I find it hard to read anything you say without shaking my head or laughing. I would like to see you remove your ignore button for those you have on ignore and engage in a level of debate? To be honest, your commenting on people you have on ignore, 2nd hand, is poor in my opinion. Ignore them, or dont. I am a hypocrite of course because you have me on ignore so I might as well talk to a brick wall.

You think there's only four people on this thread man.

Maybe you should be The Self-Imposed Exile.

I really hope we see a real set of gains from the liberals and greens. Even if just to open a wider debate in westminster.

Scotland looks like being key. If Labour win there then I suspect they will get the majority they need. As it stands I am voting Liberal, but I am not convinced a hung parliament is what we need at all. If it is to be Labour then we need them to have a cleat mandate to do whatever they think right.

SNP unraveling here. Their new auditors are saying there are records missing.

I don't know the lad, and don't know who he has on ignore, but there's only a dozen posters on this thread tbh. I agree that the ignore facility is disingenuous but some posters are so incessantly predictable and tedious that it becomes intolerably boring. DH4 may come across an the antithesis of Exile but he does have some decent things to say and can be quite witty.

It's a shame but some posters, like Exile, mask their hateful arrogance and bile behind endless claims of 'I just want open and honest debate' ...

... I know you're not daft and will have noticed but you do appear to use him as a useful back up which, in my opinion, does you no favours.

Really? That’s why I apologise and you don’t . Let’s compare self awareness to self control.
