I think Roland despite his bizarre rating of chiesa is correct and that Newcastle are after only next level players.
Depends on what budget is left - TV and CL money for the year comes in installments later in the season so while we wait for those funds in it may be a case of padding the squad out with potential rather than quality. Both Harwood-Bellis and Aarons only have one year left on their contracts so could be available at decent prices and be good squad fillers who could progress to good starters. THB and Aarons have been part of the U21 defense that hasn't conceded a goal yet on their way to the final. THB is a Man City product so you know he'll be a decent ball playing centre back - all the talk is about Colwell but I think THB is going on to bigger and better things personally and Aarons has over 200 apps at 23 years old for Norwich and again big part of the U21's defense. Both would be decent signings who we can develop into decent players
Think he is right footed but he's playing LB for England - Garner (who I always thought was a CM) is playing RB.
He WAS outstanding, but injuries have hit hard and I think if someone offered the right money he'd be easy to get. That's all. I don't mean he's at McTominay's level! I just think he's easier to attain than, say, Barella.
This is why I won't cry into my w@nk sock if we don't get him... 18 months ago, I'd have been adding salt to the salt.
