wasnt mcrorie in a similar situation at aberdeen but signed a one year contract to ensure they recouped something from his move to city, sorry but i just dont buy these heartfelt tearful, goodbyes bs,
Yep, it shows in the transfer fees recouped by City lately, not a £, apart from Semenyo. That didn’t used to happen either…
I thought Massengo was overrated but come on, he came here along way from home and gave his all. Ok it hasn't worked out for him here at City, some players develop at different rates and can also flourish at a new club for whatever reason. I hope it works out for him.
Han-Noah Massengo has totally fulfilled his contract, gave his all and is a credit to his generation, I, like RP hope he has a great career, future when he finds a new club but like others he just didn't succeed at our club, good luck to the guy.
Derby County boss breaks silence on Bristol City’s transfer pursuit of Jason Knight Bristol City should be on alert following Paul Warne’s comments on the future of Derby County midfielder Jason Knight. https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...itys-transfer-pursuit-of-jason-knight-4210202

still all a bit muddy is he? isnt he? close offer onvalue! will they accept maybe £2.5m? plus addons!... or is it £3m FOR A HAPPETH OF TAR a few good youngsters have slipped through the net and come back to bite us ... OK so thats football. As a lge 1 player with [ championship experience] he is "worth less" than if was a championship player? I sometimes wonder if preconceived ideas of value [ NP] is sometimes a stumbling block? NP seems to have a opinion on a player and then doesnt have the nous to admit he should and could upgrade his mind/ opinion on that player, maybe clouded by the fact he is impatient ! and things dont go right! I did point out before his "relapse" early in his tenure, he wasnt quite right seemed to have problems with attitude etc. a couple weeks later he did come back a slightly more mellow version of himself .. although a whole season and a half he was rather [ for lack of a better word] strange!
I’m not sure NP is involved with negotiations ,,that’s more a decision for CEO and possibly tinns. Then ultimately “ran by” SL.
Wrexham linked with Bristol City player There is said to be truth to Wrexham's links to Bristol City's Kal Naismith https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/wrexham-linked-with-bristol-city-player/
Would he want to drop two divisions?, I know they’re high profile because of their backers, but I’m not sure he’d want to drop down to L2
How can a L2 side offer more money than a championship side, I know they’ve got backing from Hollywood, but even so
I doubt that would be enough tbh. If the rumored/quoted £15k a week at City is true, Wrexham would have to offer at least £20k a week I'd have thought for the 2 division drop to be appealing? I think this is 'fake news' as they would have to pay a fee, and those wages would making staying within FFP rules for a L2 side difficult, surely?
Leeds eye 22-year-old free agent, he was compared to Edgar Davids last season https://www.leedsunited.news/news/l...has-been-compared-to-dutch-icon-edgar-davids/
its headlines like this that make me wonder if the way BCFC do business is actually 100% and there is a diparity between 2 factions of the staff! IMO HNM was starting to settle down and because he didnt sign his contract didnt gtet to play and on the other hand we have a 2 fold target maybe a 3 fold ... put together a team like the majority of other Championship sides that is settled [ ok injury have been disruptive ] A TEAM THAT WILL go on for a couple of seasons as a settled entity made up from younger self produced and occassional inbound [ with the senior players like AW being replaced as a matter of course ]. Certain [ high degree potential ] quality players like HNM and ASon longer term HIGHER PAID CONTRACTS! Maybe 4 or 5 year ones.......... And of course a promotion! In the past we have had plans of "pillars/ recycling players to fundfuture/ inrease quality of squad / etc . IMHO NP is the Jimmy opposite of the past, 2015 --2020 when it all came started to come together, and SL MADE THE COMMENT BEFORE SEASON 20/21 that maybe things should have been left to play out! [ not intending to bring LJ into this BUT THE SYSTEM IN PLACE was not actually broken, just interupted by covid ] We would still have had the debt, maybe DH and the 2 coach's and the same need to reduce wages to meet FFP. To be honest we wasted a season and a half , which led us to losing a second season trying to repair the previous season and a half. The result a very very small increase in our position and now a team that is starting from basically scratch taking on 2023/ 24 season .. a season that on paper so far is looking to be very much harder than last season. Last season it looked obv ious at the teams that could feature in top 3 with maybe 2 or 3 others "expected" as it turned out a couple surprises from settled teams featuring! This season I reckon at least 8 teams could be top 3 contenders, and moreso than last season results between them will decide the eventual top 2 and final 6. Most everyone on here is stating BCFC ... CANT SEE THEM being any better than middle table ! well it does look that way!
