Hull City are delighted to announce the signing of defender Ajay Weston on a one-year deal, with the club holding the option of an extra year. The 18-year-old featured for the Tigers’ Under-18 and Under-21 sides on trial last season, coming off the bench in the U21 Professional Development League national semi-final against Millwall. Lead Professional Development Phase Coach Conor Sellars said: “Ajay made a real impact in the games he played and is someone who we saw had potential in him as a left-back. “He is very composed and has got a very good understanding of his role and responsibilities. “He is a very likable character and hopefully we will see him progress and get more used to how we play, but he is another one who really impressed in his trial and we are looking forward to working with him.” A left-back by trade, Weston began his career at Cheltenham Town before moving to Huddersfield Town’s academy.
Sorry lads. He's not coming. Not that we'd want to sign any more from the Turkish league anyway cos they can't play championship level.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66125179
Apparently we're looking for a number 10 but with Celi supposedly joining the squad and with Traore already there is this really a priority? (I'm assuming the Celi story is correct).
So by the time he’s ready he’ll probably be two years into his contract. Assuming it’s a standard three years it doesn’t give us much chance to see him in action before he’s a free agent.
Apparently, we had a deal done for İrfan Kahveci and he was literally on his way to catch a plane when it all fell through.
