My feeling watching Norwich in their promotion seasons under Farke was that they played attractive football going forward but were poor defensively. They got away with it in the championship, and relied heavily on Pukki's remarkable goals per shots stats... my view was it would never work in the prem and I had them down as relegation certs - particularly as they didn't invest. Does it mean that Farke couldn't cut in the prem with the right squad? Is he too stubborn to his principles?... unlike Frank whose Brentford side played great football in the championship and then adapted to the Prem (without huge investment). Who knows...It would be a nice problem to have... worrying about potential relegation from the prem. Farke has done the business in the championship before... but the turnaround wasn't Bielsaesque in terms of how quickly he happened... so let's hope he's supported in the market and on the terraces.
He had Maddison for his first season. Did rather well finishing just behind a quality/experienced Championship side..
Always looked a good player and it was no surprise when he got his move to the Premier League. Wasn’t being pedantic btw, the discussion was just about Farke’s two promotions with Norwich and Ristac mentioned they had Buendia and Maddison as well as Pukki’s goals but I was pretty certain Maddison had gone before the promotion year
That's basically correct. Norwich were not prepared to spend any money. In our position that was probably quite wise. Leeds will have more funds.
