I've vented my spleen in frustration at football matches plenty of times, and I'll say what I think on here. But I don't harangue a player all match, I don't harrass them on social media. With respect to getting on the team's back... when has it ever made them play better? It's just counter-productive. You can't slag players off and then complain about player loyalty and commitment. I don't give a sh*t about it really, I just find the irony amusing - the more you boo, the more you damage your team's prospects. And as emu says… no applause necessary
Big clear out today along with Abad: Guillermo Alonso, Paco Gallardo and Jordan Davison have also left their roles, the latter working as a performance analyst. Abad took to Twitter after it was confirmed he was leaving, thanking the club and us as fans for his spell.
he’s definitely a big, committed stopper. Ok on the ball. Never looked too mobile when I saw him, but didn’t see enough of him.
Nat Phillips is a big numb centre half that (like Pontus) would header a house brick back up the pitch. Him and Cresswell would have to have quick full backs on their outside to sweep behind but they are both the type of big ugly no nonsense type defenders that you need in the Championship.
We need some height and muscle because lets be honest we've had a team of weaklings for a while. Id love a big strapping centre half. Gonna be very interesting how things turn out in the coming weeks in's and out's. but we needed a clear out in the back room it was becoming stale we need fresh idea's and new approach hopefully will be a big turnaround I'm all in for out with the old and in with the new.
I'd build the defence around Cresswell. Just tell him to go and attack the ball and allow those around him to just mop up the 2nd ball. I've no problem if it's Nat Phillips instead of Cresswell either.
Phillips very much comes across as a tackler, something we havn't been good at for a while. Over the past few seasons we have just chased the ball around the pitch.
Vast majority walked out but remember the reaction of the Norwegian guy sat in front of us. He was fuming. As he said he’d spent a fortune to get there from Norway
He's got a nerve didn't he realise that ranting and raving about it would upset them and probably make them play worse next time ..how about thinking the fans ain't happy and rolling up your sleeves....still
Yes i remember him being disgusted with the capitulation. He certainly never had rose tinted glasses on.
