Good move, looks horrible when away fans don't fill their allocation and there's empty seats behind the goal. Hopefully should improve atmosphere as well, which hasn't been great recently.

same i agree, got put off going to matches last season and didn't renew my season ticket after having a season ticket since 1999. the main reason was because i didnt enjoy match day because the atmosphere got worse in my opinion. do u think adding a singing section will be a positive or do u think it will still be half empty etc

South stand should be all standing. Get our considerable amount of psycho's singing together to generate an almighty ear splitting roker roar impression.

My season ticket is currently below where the away supporters are allegedly to be placed. I will be moving elsewhere in the ground.

Can I ask what would be the best way to deal with Newcastle fans when we come?

The South Stand was easy as that's where the coach park is as well as its just down the road to the train station. It'll be difficult to police now that we'll have to walk all the way around the ground.

If my seat was in the north stand lower I would definately move my seat.

There is no ****ing way I would stand for my 10 yo son getting piss & hot coffee tipped on him. It's a disaster in waiting.

We sit in sw corner which is the most atmospheric & vocal in the ground. Split that up & there will be no atmosphere.

Besides, we like being with the daft lads.

Put the ****ers up in the gods in the premier concourse with the posh twats.

It hardly ever sells out up there anyhow.

I think we are making a big assumption that we will sell all of those seats in the South Stand. The away fans will be moved to the North Stand Upper. I cant see those in that area moving to the South Stand so where are we magically going to fill this section from.

Basically this is only an issue because crowds are so far down. If we were selling out every week the away fans would be more condensed and less gaps. Nothing to do with where they are sitting.

Also, I hate the fact we seem to be doing this because of "how it looks on the telly".

I couldn't give a monkeys what anyone else thinks about our club!

I got my letter saying ill be getting moved, after sitting in the n.e corner since 1997 we moved to row 40 of the north stand, f'in typical. I agree with the move but not to the north stand which i consider to be 'the home end'. i got the impression from the wording that they wanted us to move to the south stand. its the last place in the stadium id want to sit.

Why not put the away fans in the s.w corner and then move the s.w season tickets holders a couple of blocks round to the south stand? more people win with this suggestion. s.w fans are still next to the away fans, it won't disrupt the current policing eg cells etc. and the coach park again is right outside.

    agree with parker

if we must move them put them in a corner which will still allow the daft lads to be in the lower bowl and near them. takes them away from behind the goal as so many on here crave, and also keeps the little atmosphere we have left in the lower bowl.

Well I have to admit part of the fun of sw corner is being next to the away fans.

But will they move the sw corner to the south stand where the away fans are now?

    Wouldn't mind that tbh.

Im afraid that the decision to move the away fans has been made and their destination in the north stand is not going to change despite fans protests.....in a way its our fault because the majority of fans have wanted the away fans to be moved from behind the south stand goal ( in reality it is murreys fault as only a bathroom salesman would of put the away fans behind the goal when at the design stage)I personally believe that the move to the ns upper is due to the work on the black cats bar so they can combine work and save money.....the north stand upper has a seperate access so the fans can be segregated easily (scuffers )but it has problems also phleghmy rain for one....the obvious answer was to put the away fans in the sw but i think that the building work needed to segregate the away fans was probably more expensive so when common sense meets cost....money always wins ...im hoping that they see sense but i will not be holding my breath...

i am kind of agreeing with all of your comments, coz most are true. 'especially about them in the prem concourse with prawn sandwiches haha just kidin'.But i seriously think we should have moved the away fans in to the swc. and the lads in swc to the south stand, then the south stand would definately sell out and. and even if the likes of wigan, bolton and fulham brought a mini buss load, it still wouldn't look bad on tele as they hardley show the south west corner on the tv. This wouldn't cause a fuss with the north standers as they wouldnt have to worry about who evers above them in upper. plus if the away fans were still in bottom bowl the atmosphere would stay the same if not better.

If they put the away fans in the north stand upper can you imagine what it will be like on derby day?

Don't take your kids is all I can say.
