Good Morning. It's Tuesday 4th July, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Farke finally set to be unveiled

Daniel Farke will finally be unveiled as head coach of Leeds Utd later today. He flew into England last night, and is expected to get straight to work, remolding a squad capable of a top two finish. The 46yo has his work cut out if he is to repeat what he achieved twice, whilst at Carrow Road, as time is not on his side. The transfer window has already been open for business for almost three weeks, but he'll need to assess his squad, before bringing players in.

Joining Farke, should be joined by long term ally Edmund Riemer, first team coach Christopher John and Head of Performance Chris Domogalla. All four have worked together since their Norwich days, and are all expected to be making their way to West Yorkshire in the next few days.

EFL to blame for the hold up - Hay

Leeds Utd journalist Phil Hay has pointed the finger of blame at the EFL for the extended amount of time it's taking to conclude the takeover. Whilst nobody knows for certain, Hay has a better idea than most, and has delivered accurate updates from Elland Road for years.

Conflicting reports over the past week, have suggested that the problem may lie between Radrizzani and 49ers Enterprises; and with no official updates for weeks, who can blame us for becoming a little paranoid!

According to Hay, Leeds wanted to wait until the takeover was completed before appointing Farke, but felt they couldn't delay his arrival beyond the first pre-season training session on Wednesday, blaming the hold up with the football authorities, and red tape.

Leeds agree cut price deal & stipulations regarding Llorente.

Leeds and Roma have struck a deal regarding the services of Diego Llorente. The 29yo spent the second half of last season at the Stadio Olimpico, subject to an £18m permanent transfer if successful. Unfortunately, shortly into his loan period, they quickly changed their minds regarding the terms of the deal.

Both sides have agreed that Llorente will spend next season with Roma, and should he participate in over 50% of their matches, Roma will make the move permanent, with a fee agreed of £4.3m. Leeds will be keen to get him off their books. The three and a half year extension he signed last December entitles him to £2,340,000 a year until 2026.

So 4.3 m for Lorrente IF he plays 50% of their matches.

Shame. Would have been nice to have got a bit more for our, in demand, Spanish international

Morning all. Roma did well to beat off some top clubs like city Arsenal and Barcelona with such a mouth watering offer for one of our top lads. Great business. Also very clever by the 49ers not to employ coach until training has begun. Saved a few weeks wages there. Onwards and upwards

Morning everyone so are we paying roma then?. We will make nothing back from Llorente in transfer fees. He could just stay on leeds books for the next three years and rake his money in.

This is after the ‘extend his deal in order to protect his price to sell him’ idea.

Wonder what he’d have gone for without that master stroke?

£4 million of Llorente. Wow great to see were getting a fair whack of that £18 million we paid for him.

If Farke does get announced to get then good. Bring in some decent players and I might consider trusting the 49erS. At this point they're still a bunch of Yankee Doodle chancers.

So Hay is trying to stoke up the conspiracy theorists. We'll he can **** then. Tell the ****ing truth and admit it's the 49ers.

Seems Frankfurt may have beaten off stiff competition from Man United and Newcastle to get Robin Koch on loan too. Well done them.

I thought the EFL tests were for owners/directors. Why would they need to check out all the small investors in the 49ers investment group. Let's face it these golfers etc will not have a say in the running of the club. Perhaps the buyout and due diligence were not as advanced as we were led to believe.
