Sounds like Thiago could move this summer, which would be good business.

as much as I love him and still think he’ has a lot to offer, it’s pointless if he can’t get on the pitch.

I now think Lavia is moving on quickly and would be wrapped before thuram …

Wouldn’t surprise me if thiago fancied one more move to Italy. Only one left he hasn’t played in and the slower more technical league would suit him perfectly.

would be a shame to lose him, still think on his day he’s one of the best at what he does and offers so much. But is an injury concern and fades in second half of games which are high tempo.

Shame we couldn’t have picked him up 2/3 years before we did. Was instrumental in that run to 3rd place when we looked out of it 2 years ago and I’m sure younger players would have learned a lot from him.

Lavia would qualify for hg next year? Not going to happen at £50m though - 19 years old with one season experience, can't see us going for him at that fee, it would have to be negotiated right down.

which is why we are looming at arsenal and not moving in til it gets later in window.

if arsenal throw money at it them we will step away.

I agree, and there is no likelihood of the last part highlighted these days - someone will stump up

Seeing as you can't even view posts on Twitter now without an account, would those who do have an account keep an eye on what Ornstein is saying, he's been the most reliable for transfer news for a while.

Huge potential though. £50m is big but hopefully there is a relegation clause in his contract to help bring the price down.

Hasnt been any talk of it. Also the fact City have a sell on clause so any % has to go to them hence saints wanting a higher figure I believe.

And that worries me. Milner gone, Ramsay on loan... Don't think Gomez is good enough... especially if TAA ends up in midfield somehow. I'd much rather get a RB than another midfielder. If they can also play CB, even better... if we have to sell Matip, or even Gomez (and the new recruit can play CB), so be it, as long as we have enough HG.

Our new midfielders seem more attack-minded than defensive, but I think we can work through it without another midfielder. I'd prefer a defensive midfielder if we did get a third... but right now, I think we can get by without one, but if FSG have the cash to splash on someone quality, I won't complain.

agreed on the next priority should be defensive preferably someone who can cover CB/RB

I agree that we would should target a 6 but worth highlighting that Dom and Mac are both good defensively from a pressing perspective. They will provide more solidity than Hendo / Elliot / jones
