Well, before we bought Sandro Tonali. We could of had Angel Gomez on a free transfer a few years and sh*t-canned Shelvey sooner.

I think not being a guaranteed starter will have give Gordon the rocket up the arse he maybe needed, seems to have the personality to atep up to the challange and I think next season will be the making of him.

Hope Gordon is a hell of a player for us, cos I would love those Everton ****s to eat the **** out of his arse.

They're a right bunch of horrible twats and him turning out class for us would be a thing of beauty.

All of the games are available free on the official UEFA.tv app.
Whack it on your phone then cast to your TV.

If we don’t sign anyone is that a bad thing?

Ok so all the big six have signed at least one player. Thus far we have not. So does mean we have fallen behind?

I am classing Minteh as a future prospect.
    Tonali hasn’t yet signed (apparently).

    No :)

    Liverpool have made good signings.
Spurs - Need more than Maddison and Aussie Big Sam.
Man U... Nothing spectacular there, and as per Group chat, they're unlikely to spend big.
Chelsea - Decent prospects. Will obv improve.

A month to go. Relax :)

Simply put, yeah, it's terrible if we don't sign anyone! It'd be right up there with the Ashley/Anita Summer in terms of a massive missed opportunity.

However, we've (almost) signed one of the finest midfielders in the World. Isak/Gordon have another year under their belt. And I firmly believe we'll just have days where a really decent player is linked at 9am and signed by 10am. By all accounts, we liked Szoboszlai but were never interested in bidding. I suspect we're still after a right winger, but that depends on what Howe sees in our current backup, Murphy.

We will almost certainly need a left back and the centre back option will entirely depend on who's available. I don't even know if the formation will evolve, there were hints of Man City-esque changes towards the latter part of the season.

Perfect first signing of the window. At 23 he's got 166 Seria A apps, 14 for Italy national team, CL experience, only missed 6 games in the last 2 years of the league campaigns so appears to have a good engine as well. Perfect fit for Howe to develop further in a position we were desperate for.

LB and competition at RCB up next please and we'll have a very decent squad for the coming season and competing on 4 fronts.

    GK - Pope/Dubs
    RB - Trippier/Krafth
    CB - Schar/RCB
    LCB - Botman/Burn
    LB - Target/LB
    RCM - Tonali/Longstaff
    CM - Bruno/Joelinton
    LCM - Willock/Anderson
    RW - Almiron/Murphy
    LW - ASM/Gordon
    CF - Isak/Wilson

CB needs to be a starter. Schar is average
I would also say we need a a starting right winger as well
Also a back up left winger for Gordon

Shh I was trying to not upset Tash!

Only joking Tash <hug> I think Schar is decent enough for a starting space in that squad, depends who comes in though but Schar and Burn as the "backup" would be mint.

Do think Target will drop down the pecking order if a LB is incoming

I think Targett would become back up left back and Burn would become back up LCB.
Schar needs to be back up RCB. If it was down to me he’s only getting that because of a good season last season. If I was going over his career he’d be Out the door

    Pope
    Trippier
    RCB
    Botman
    Target
    Tonali
    Bruno
    LCM
    RW
    Gordon
    Isak

New Newcastle XI inside 3 windows... In that we already had 4 CM's and 3 Wingers you can forgive the club for the LCM and RW position being low priority on the list - genuinely expect RCB to be filled shortly.
