you are right though, I also cannot see 40mil in sales as the talent isn't there outside exactly who you said. Not in players I want to see go.

kelleher would have been 25mil but klopp says no sale.

After that I can't see too many others. not that we can sell and not replace. (gomez and matip would need to be replaced)

morton might be 5 to 7 mil?

I think we will see some youths and such move but it won't add up.

hopefully we are seeing fsg allow some rebuild but then I'll just fear the next two windows will be 0 net spend :(

That would be a genuine reason to worry, we will undoubtedly be mortgaging our future so these signings need to be mostly positive.

yes thats true. they absolutely have to stick.

they sound like they suit klopp well and klopp will work and bring guys along.

macallister has years in England and speaks English etc.

Szoboszlai speaks English and is a big lad, who knows how he will adapt bit klopp won't break him like a cheslea would.

I am still of the opinion that diaz and Jota being fit will add more and am really just hoping nunez comes good.

it's big enough a squad if it gels but it's still down to vvd as well. if that man decides to hit people hard and stop backing off them imo we improve massively.

here's hoping they all show that hunger.

I find it interesting that over time numbers have ebbed and flowed in importance.

3 fabinho (wanted 2 which was not available)

yet the two most important players we've had in trent and Robertson have never earned to change.

it will be interesting to see if these change this summer (thiago for example)

Henderson could have taken one but has never done so.

Yes, this year I expect to spend more... But I don't expect much cash outgoing again for a few years after this.
 
Lavia links now hotting up. Would make sense as an understudy to Fabinho to take his place in a year or two. Do wonder where that leaves Bajcetic though.

Would still leave an empty spot for foreign player (cb?) and take spending to just under £150m. Seems a lot, but given spending over last few years, would be money that has been stored up.

Personally didn’t see us signing 3 CM/La but if one is Lavia that would be a signing for a year or two rather than the immediate despite the fee. That would certainly make more sense
 
it seems Southampton want a bidding war but arsenal will be late to the "party" as they need to get rid of a certain offender to afford buying again

we are supposedly talking to Southampton right now to complete.my demanded numbers.

not sure where the player would perfer to go though.

thuarm is now out of European championships

Arsenal haven't even worked out where they're going to find the money for Rice yet. Can't see them spending much else this summer

on top the fee paid for havertz is absolutely moronic. I just can't believe they have paid that for a broken player what doesn't fit their best team

Next few days are going to be interesting to see which midfielder comes in next. By the sounds of it, Thuram is all but done however the signing of Dom could mean we pivot to Lavia instead.
 
Still strongly linked to Thurem, Kone and Lavia. Are we buying our midfield for the next decade! Would require one of the current not HG midfielders to depart, preferably to Saudi for £100m <whistle>
