Serious question.... Has anyone else noticed that the card centres on toilet rolls are 10% larger? Guess this is another profiteering manoeuvre like making chocolate bars smaller. Just more subtle as most people don't notice...

Businesses screwing the public with impunity. Not like there's an ombudsman to do anything about it! <doh>

Capitalism has always relied upon the majority being utterly stupid.
Most people aren’t discerning; they don’t care, they just want what they want.
And when it comes to selling cars, fashion, music, toys and most other consumer goods, you’re made if you can convince people that this is what they want and then maximise it when the sheep mentality kicks in and people want what others have got.
As The Jam said so adroitly, “the public want what the public get”.

There are two forms of "shrinkflation" :

    1. proportional decrease
    2. functional degradation

Using toilet paper as the example, #1 is
putting in less sheets, and #2 is making
    each sheet thinner.

    < chairman deedub >

Govt can deal with this in the "court of
    public opinion" by simply requesting
salient data on each product b provided
by a vendor., whenever they release a
    version update.

So for toilet paper that would be the
number of rolls in the pack, the weight
of each roll without the card tube, and
the X/Y dimensions of each sheet.

    Simple public domain software tools
could tell you at any time what level
and what type of shrinkflation is occurring.
If yo see a vendor is taking the p*iss, vote
with your wallet and boycott them for
    a competitor.

If an analysis across a set of vendors
    across non-store brands show the
same changes over time, then there is
    possible cabal behaviour which can
    be investigated further (market prices
of component materials at the same
    time periods etc) .

I get all that (in a more basic form). I was just asking on here if anyone has noticed that particular example in recent months.

    No <doh>
There are numerous other examples (as I'd already referred to). This was a new one - at least for me.

    She is utterly unhinged

What really stands out is she keeps popping up in the replies of various commentators who are talking about her, even though she has not been tagged at any point of the post - which means she's either the sort of saddo who searches for their name, or she just stalks people on Twitter in the expectation that she'll be yelling at them shortly

Somehow the board of governors at her ****ty academy don't think this is a bad thing, which is not in any way related to Braverman being on said board of governors...

My mate Dirty Barry ( he of the porn emporium) used to have a Male "actor" who all the ladies of a certain age knew as Waggon Wheel due to the old advertising slogan " you have to grin to get it in " that slogan no longer applies to the confectionery and sadly the demise of said actor
