I don't see anything racist at all.

She's decided the MP sees her as a slave because she doesn't want to take the time, on Twitter, to spell out the name Birbalsingh. The fact she posts as Miss Snuffy seems to escape her insane logic.

If people choose to be offended by such insignificant tenuous things they really need to keep well away from social media imo.

You're quite right, it's totally idiotic.

    Otherwise known as Twitter.

I think you are right. Her posts appear to be very poor, like I said earlier. Jess was supposed to have post a 'sure' picture when the teacher said she doesnt condone domestic abuse. Imagine an MP assuming a head teacher would, with all of the controls in place around appointing these people. Racism aside, she seems to have let herself down. Lets see what the labout process finds.

    There is no racism.

In your opinion what possible 'charge' could there be, for the rest, and what would be an appropriate punishment.

Only when it's Tories saying it. Then it's bad. Definite racism and evil.

Labour can say anything they like, because Tories. Nothing to see here, all fine.

Haven’t read any of what’s gone one at all so I know I stand to be shot at, not taking sides in this but always thought Phillips had a bit of character in a world full of dullards. Definitely appears to have no off switch either mind. I’ll have a read now while you lay into me.

Can't be bothered reading about this, two tarts having a spat.. as someone once said

"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn"

Or a lot less people would be offended if they brought back duelling!

Read three articles on it now. Honest view, Phillips appears to have gone for her over a mistake she apologised for which looks overly aggressive and the tit for tat spats are sad from both sides. Implying racism is utterly bonkers but what else would expect from a national conservative who openly prides herself on being ungiving.

Implying racism is a well worn tactic that always works going one way. So why shouldn't it work the other. I'd like to think the teacher is making some sort of point about it, about how it's overuse has rendered it meaningless, but it's probably just learning that this is the button to press to silence whoever you're arguing with.

The Labour Party isn't what it used to be, some of which is good, some bad. I'm just praying that a Labour government, with a Liberal 'check' would inject just a little of the honesty, compassion and integrity we're so glaringly lacking.

This Tory government is an absolute disgrace and there's no chance it can turn things around. They're so ridiculously controlled by the wealthy, the banks and pulled apart by warring factions in the party that they've totally forgotten the people they're supposed to look after.

The best of Britain used to be the respect we had around the world now in tatters, the NHS now in chaos and strikes by people seeing their colleagues giving up the fight, the education and hope for our young people now being crushed by being denied the chance to go out in the world to show others what a great country we are and to learn from Europe and beyond.

We're fast becoming an insular and isolated little island that, with another decade of this monetarily obsessed culture, could see us left on the outside of everything looking in.

It's sickening to keep hearing everything we do described as 'world class' and 'historic' which makes us look illogically arrogant to the world. It's as if we think it's our ball and only us can play with it ...

... only to find the Chinese, Indians, etc, can make bigger and better balls that are cheaper and more easily sold around the world.

Whoever gets in has some big brave decisions to make ...

... and we all need to think about each other more instead of this Tory me me me culture.

    Just my opinion.

The Tories getting voted out will be a more positive step. I think if we don’t change first past the post we will be stuck voting for the least **** and the big two will keep shape shifting for power

I don't even think about that tbh, I can't see it happening.

I just feel we need some of what Sunak promised without it looking like lies from the moment it's said ...

... Johnson has a lot to answer for but he's now criticising the PM, from his column, and telling him how to govern properly.

He failed with his Churchill impersonation, now he's going for 'a Thatcher', hanging over the party and creating endless divisions and recriminations.

Meanwhile the country is reduced to a f*cking side issue.

I also think some of the worst legacy is the enablement of borderline racist bigots of limited intellect into fairly senior government positions.
Braverman, Raab, Patel bullying allegations abound. Dorries not turning up into the commons regularly as well as a few others.
Hancock admitting he didn't know what he was doing as health secretary and the knuckle dragging ghouls like Anderson, Clarke Smith, Gullis etc - people you wouldn't even bother conversing with in a pub imo.
What a state this is - something needs to change and PR is probably the best option.

Okay you bugger, I have now looked at what the row is about...

Let's see, the Con strict headmistress posted a picture of Tina Turner with her ex abusive husband to honour/RIP her death. Not that respectful/sensitive as a big part of Tina's story was how she overcame to that controlling violence.

Labour's woman minister called her out on it.

Con strict headmistress said this criticism was racist.. wrote a long letter 4 pages about it. Iirc headmistress's never admit they are wrong.

Sorry mate, my opinion hasn't changed two gobby women having a spat.

The woman is accusing someone of racism, taking her for a slave, etc etc etc.

The clue to why it isn't racism is that she's gone to the media and not the police.

Screaming 'racism' might work for a moment but not if you've nothing to back it up ...

... it'll have a few throwing their arms up in the air but it's all fake and disrespectful to people who really do suffer from racism. If she's setting an example to her pupils she should show some backbone and report it to the police.

But a hissy fit seems to be the answer these days.
