We should benefit from Delap getting experience last year. For an extreme example, Kane needed a few lower league loans before he bloomed so hopefully we’re onto something here.

In the bigger picture, we’re still hungover from a regime who were openly belligerent towards supporters; I think it shows in this thread.

A questioning stance is always correct, but...

At this stage, we need to be more of a critical friend to this regime (as should most healthy fan/ownership relationships) as opposed to ripping away at every mistake or even rumour, and perhaps inadvertently sewing a greater discontent for the longer term, when by comparison to our previous ownership, there is very little, if nothing, to campaign against.

Not sure, he’s more a combination of Tetteh and Connolly. Can link up but is lightning quick in behind

I suppose I mean you wouldn't want Delap and Tetteh starting as the two forwards as both strike me as the hard working supplier and neither as the prolific finisher.

I look at someone like Balogun for Boro who looked pretty much the same in front of goal as Delap but his attributes meant he was going to explode in a goals sense at one point.

As a lad who’s consistently played/trained in our possession style at Man City, and scored goals in the process, I really feel we could be the place for his career to explode.

TWT of course but I feel this move could be one of our best signings this season, reckon if he gets on the board early doors he could be hitting good numbers.

I witnessed Kane playing for Norwich when we won there 2-0...I turned to my mate and said...'that striker of theirs, the kid up top is like bambi on ice....I bet we don't see him again...'
    Wapp..wapp...Oppps.

He’s more like Connolly in the way he plays, apparently. He makes runs behind defenders and is surprisingly quick for a big lad.

Sounds good. I thought Connolly did really well for us until was injured. I hope Delap can make even more of an impact over the season.

Surely that’s the toughest position to recruit for sorted, up front, with Tetteh, Oscar and Delap. 3 absolutely solid options at this level. Really need some wide players now and a big shaved headed tattoo covered nasty bastard in midfield.

no idea where you’re getting it from that Fleming is the answer. Wasn’t up to scratch at Oxford no chance is he anywhere near good enough for a top half champ side.

Really disappointed if that’s our business up top concluded if we sell Oscar. If we keep Oscar that’s not terrible.

Definitely not, Delap is very similar to Haaland, pure pace and an out and out finisher. Despite his size, Tetteh is a very technical player and will hold up the ball and link play.

Ah, but has LD honed his old man's genes to be able to throw the ball from one side of t'pitch t'other ?

Is he? I don't see much of the natural finisher in him, I see the creator and the provider.

Yeah like you say that's youth level, I'm talking about what I've seen at senior level.
