All we’re really losing from your list is: Darlow, although we’re not exactly short on keepers, but it does seem to be something LR’s looking at for whatever reason, doubt it’s his top priority though. Elder, LB is a problem area as it stands, so a priority. Woods, sort of, because he played quite a few games, but wasn’t really used towards the end, but I think a CM who can do what Doc did in L1, can tackle & break up play, is badly needed. Then obviously Greaves & Oscar, McC for Greaves & then cover for him, as for Oscar,if he goes, Tetteh is a striker, but we need cover regardless, this Delap kid might do a job? The rest weren’t really used other than to fill the bench, injured, loaned out, or dropped completely. Do we really need a whole team coming in? I think the priority is 5, GK, LB, CM, Winger & striker, but depends who becomes available later on as to, if we pick up further back up players, or a player becomes available who would be seen as a starter. When the dominoes start falling, there’s going to be more players available than right now. Also some contracts will be ending soon, which might see some players coming for free.
We'll sign more because if we don't Rosie will be sacked next year, we need progression. He's right to want a smaller squad but we still need 2 for each position and maybe an extra attacker or 2. Optimistically we'll carry 2/3 injuries at most points next season so it's still a much smaller squad than he inherited. Taking away the romance of it all, Fleming's done. He was farmed out when we didn't proper LB at the club and absolutely tanked at Oxford. Longman and Doc aren't good enough even to be bit part players. People talk about Luton's small budget but Henri Lansbury was their bit part midfielder. Fair enough, he's not what he once was but it's a very solid backup on a budget
Really? Just one winger? In January we had Pelkas & Ebiowei yet we still wanted another winger in De La Fuente. We've now lost both yet you think only one winger coming is alright. And yes, looking at the outgoings, we're going to be looking at double figures in signings again because we need to. We need to get players moved on and that wage bill down. If that's a top 8/11 budget as Tan mentioned, the value we got from it was terrible and playing it back with largely the same squad and expecting a different outcome is stupid
Ideally we need: Left-back Two wingers New striker (Delap on loan) Defensive midfielder Maybe a GK However, if we sell Óscar and Greaves we need replacements for them too in addition to above. I don’t think we need to replace Woods or Figueiredo immediately. A new defensive midfielder along with Simons would fill in for Woods and Andy Smith could be Alfie Jones’ backup this season if Rosenior likes the look of him. Our squad come first game of the season could be: GK New keeper Ingram Lo-Tutala Robson Cartwright (loaned out) Right-back Christie Coyle Left-back New left-back Fleming Centre-half Alfie Jones Andy Smith McLoughlin Greaves/Greaves’ replacement Midfield New defensive mid Seri Slater Simons Tufan Traoré Docherty Covil Wingers Allahyar Longman Vaughan 2 new wingers Strikers Óscar/Óscar’s replacement Tetteh Delap
That's 24 or 25 man squad if you include 3 keepers, which is about right though you missed out Vaughan & Vaughn unless you are including them as U21's

That's an incredibly high risk approach as you've made an inexperienced squad, even more inexperienced. TLT needs to go out on loan and play regularly to improve. If we've let Elder go to replace him with Fleming, it's moronic at best. Smith seems like he's going to Lincoln which is great as he needs to play every week. I still don't see us creating or scoring enough goals. We've been briefing that we want players with promotion experience, so it seems pretty unlikely that we'll be filling the squad out with our younger players.
Orange has gone quiet. I suspect he is either feeding or sleeping. I think he owes a few of us an apology for his earlier outbursts.
We still talk about Fleming as if he's a young kid too. He's 24 in December. Ideally he needs to find a permanent home where he plays, I can't imagine he'd even want to stay and play back up LB. How long can he sit around for?
He should have been in the team last year. Found out if he was a flash in the pan or if he could really do it. Sending him out on loan to a struggling team was wasteful for both club and player.
Me too. I think a lot of young players get overlooked because of the club they're at. We look at Liam Delap and the fact that he's coming from Man City as a sign of quality, if he was coming from Burnley or West Ham, would people be as excited? Because Cannon was at Everton, which isn't a top six club (and also produced Liam Walsh), I think some managers overlooked him. We got Longman from Brighton and he's got better and better the long he's been with us. Okay, he might not set the world alight but he's going to have a career near the top end of the EFL.
