Can't wait for the new season to get going, even if it is delayed a bit by the Bahrain shenanigans! Anybody going to a GP this year, I'd like to but unfortunately times are hard and I'm a bit strapped for cash Looking forward to the new commentary team for the BBC I must say, found Legard to be a bit annoying, glad he's still got a job at the Beeb though, didn't deserve to be sacked.
I really want to go to the Circuit de Catalunya in May, but i've got 4 exams the week after the GP. Might go to Silverstone, if I can afford it.
In an ideal world I'd go to Spa or Monaco, but that would probably involve me winning the lottery, or something similar! The last time I was at Silverstone was 2006, I really need to go again soon.
I'm going to Silverstone this year, it'll be my first F1 race, and I can't wait. Iv'e been to Donnington, Snetterton, Rockingham and Silverstone before for BTCC and Moto GP, and I think it's gunna be better than all of them put together!
I'm going to Nurburgring, mainly to help my German but partly because I cant go to Silverstone having Alonso as a favourite Quite expensive but it should be worth it, i'm at the Dunlop hairpin btw
I might go to Malaysia this year crazy event, great venue and with tickets on the hills for only ã7 a day why not.
Ever since the European GP went to Valencia in 2008, the German GP is swaps every year between Nurburgring and Hockenheim 2008 - Hockenheim 2009 - Nurburgring 2010 - Hockenheim 2011 - Nurburgring
Nurburgring is another venue I'd like to visit, German is one of my languages also. I've been to Donington for BTCC and was hoping to see F1 there but it wasn't to be.
Hey im the Alonso Fan surrounded by Hamilton/Button fans cheering and blowing my vuvuzela when alonso goes past (or a Renault). I slightly get undone when Hamilton goes round =/ but still it doesnt bother me. you can spot the noob Hamilton fans because they sit on the worst spots around the track... or watching it from the giant TV's behind the stands.
Trying to get to Spa again this year. Last went 3 years ago and was in the grandstand from the first corner and the view extending all the way down Eau Rouge. Trying to tempt the missus into Le Mans as well...
Good luck mate hope you get it, although I prefer the TV, just because of the many cameras along the track, onboard cam and replays.... Yes I am a couch potato.. Also how much is one ticket "for you" at the stand??
Three years ago I paid 350 Euros for a ticket in the stand. I managed to get 2 tickets through a company lottery draw for free (I worked for Toyota HQ in Brussels) but needed a third as a mate was over to visit from the Middle East. Worth it though for the sheer noise - cam corder stopped working on the warm up lap because of the vibrations
