    We've now got top class options at LCM and RCM. Much better than just wasting it all on Jude.

    Possibly just don’t see it happening. We couldn’t guarantee him the playing time that Brighton can so would take some very good persuasion that’s if you could even get Chelsea to sell.

    In all honesty, he was good but nothing overly special at Brighton last year. Never really stood out so think he’s a few seasons off being top class in a top 4 team. If he was a £20m player to develop over a year or two. But as a £50-£60m cb, would want him in first team from the off.

    So is that Thuram links done if we get Szobo? 3 new CMs seems over the top for one summer.

    Need CB to replace Matip the next target before it’s done? Team and back ups looking far stronger now though. Amazing what couple signings can do.

    We may still get Thuram. Think of the wage savings for the players that have left and we could still sell Phillips and a couple of others to get funds.

    If we do get Thuram, then I imagine that we mould him into a DM - which would be a shame because it takes away from his fantastic dribbling ability.

    I think he has massive potential. Has all the physical attributes and is excellent on the ball, plus home grown.

    The alternatives are Ignacio and Van Der Ven.
