Macca was known for an age and a known quantity. This one is a bit left field and I have never seen him play so a completely unknown quantity, for me anyway

Think he was too expensive and if Liverpool come in which they have it's game over.

I would have guessed two too... but technically we have lost three midfielders: Keita, Ox, and Milner. So maybe a third, although, I agree would surprise me too.
I've read a bit about him since we were linked including a lifelong Liverpool fan saying he's never seen anyone strike a ball like him. He's also fluent in English and said he's never been anxious before a game ever until he played Liverpool where the atmosphere was phenomenal (or something like that). He looks every inch a Liverpool player. Awaiting the lean.

then this requires us to have two midfielders leg it 20 yards up the park to get in everyone's way or play in thr half spaces as klopp says.
this would be Jones, Elliott, Henderson, macallister and this new lad and morton is an option maybe.
I still see 7 bodies for 3 slots if we count skinny teens and hyped up England u21s.
this is a lot of players.
I still see 5 forwards for 3 slots before Elliott there too.
really our issue is we all know fabinho is ****ed but the club will persist with him until his contract is up. cheap ****s
the back line is a mess so if there is any money left at all I would agree thslat spending it there makes far more sense than wasting our time dreaming of a real midfield.
