    He's lying again.

The standards do not differentiate what the particulate is made of, it simply refers to the size fraction. It's why there isn't a different standard for the coast where sea salt makes up a significant proportion.

The Health and Safety Standard is based on exposure over time, whereas outdoors is an absolute value for non-occupational situations, so it's him that is desperately trying to compare apples to watermelons.

Now I’ve boycotted any company associated with Pride and companies that sell halal products I’m just eating pork chops from my local butcher and drinking John Smith’s but I’m patriotic and feel better for it.

Agreed. Apples are overrated. Raw apples of course. Apple pie is lovely.

I'm not religious at all really, but I don't like pork much, so I'd make a good Jew or Muslim.

I see the ****wits are back to trying to bore people away and show their ignorance in the hope it detracts from the topics yet again.

Each time they do, it's testament to their failure. <laugh>

It does raise the question on why they bother to follow us around. As they clearly have no understanding of the subjects, they could at least use it as an opportunity to fill in some of the many gaps in their meager education.

Doubt there’s a synagogue in Portsmouth but you’re welcome in Brighton any time in your arseless leather trousers. I’d invite Brian but despite the weird claims of the apolitical people don’t have much time for nonces down there.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has been criticised for providing public money to a rogue property development company. Pocket Living has allegedly refused to make necessary alterations to its homes impacted by the building safety crisis in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster. Mr Khan has been urged to blacklist the company after providing the company with an additional five million pounds in 2020.

This brings the total investment by the Mayor's office in the firm to over £61 million, City Hall’s Liberal Democrats say. The party adds Pocket Living has refused to sign the Government’s Building Safety Pledge - a commitment to address life-critical fire safety works in buildings over 11 metres high - and is currently “refusing to remediate the homes it developed and sold” with safety issues.

Good to get Khan updates from around the country. It should happen with more local politicians.

More piffle and avoidance from the lightweights. Their pain is almost audible.

It must really sting them that they've followed us around, only for people to see that their every non-response shows that they really don't have any answers to issues that clearly make them seethe. <laugh>

It is a while since I had my hands on a pair of melons. There is something to be said for pears. And also for pineapples.

We know when a politician is lying because their lips are moving. There has been much consternation of late about the amount of lying done by Boris Johnson. This allows all sorts of Labour politicians to lie every day of the week on social media and go uncontested.

We keep hearing about the Tory Mortgage Penalty or the Tory Mortgage Timebomb from Reeves and Starmer. The reality is that the state of the mortgage market is entirely the fault of the Bank of England (BoE), which was made independent of government by Gordon Brown when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer under Tony Blair.

Sir Keir Starmer claims that he can solve this conundrum for the “working class” as he comes from a working class background where his father worked in a factory and his mother was a nurse, struggling to make ends meet.

During 15 years of the BoE printing money, interest rates have been virtually zero. So when Starmer bought his London house in 2006, according to the Land Registry, it cost £650,000 – not bad for a working class man getting a mortgage from Barclays for a modest property in the capital. On his six figure salary, it is reasonable to conclude that working class Keir has already paid off the interest on that mortgage in the last 17 years and is now only just paying the original principal on a property that is now apparently valued at over £2,000,000. Property values have rocketed over that 17 year period driven by the availability of cheap mortgages as the BoE printed money at no cost.

So just why is it unreasonable to expect the beneficiaries of the free money to now start paying the real cost of the assets that they were getting on the cheap? They could always sell the expensive property and move to something smaller that they can afford. Starmer obviously intends to put controls on the mortgage market and let the taxpayer pick up the bill. Or is there a windfall tax to cover that? – Reeves has got one for everything else.
