More from Bethnal Y and G: "This was a very interesting discussion between Victor Orta, Stuart Webber and Dan Ashworth. Some good stuff from Webber on how they identified Sara and Nunez and how data couldn’t identify the impact of getting Sara’s dogs over to Norwich!"
Lotus confirmed as kit sponsor for this season. A kit is apparently being released tomorrow, rumour that it could be the away kit first though

12ft | Norwich City: David Wagner on Jacob Sorensen's best position | The Pink Un “I agree defensive midfield is his best position,” said Wagner. Injury crisis at CB......"Then more or less our best option was playing Lunghi at centre back. Which is not his preference. “I think he tried everything as best as he can, even if we both know that is not best position. “We know we have a very important window in front of us to make sure we sign players with the mentality and mindset in our dressing room, which we missed. But on the other hand it was clear and obvious that the injury crisis was a struggle last season. "So we have to bring that depth to the squad, and make sure we are more robust and that we don’t have so many injuries in order to be more competitive on the pitch and in training. That is what this pre-season is all about.”
No need to be unkind Rick. Imagine how the poor guy is feeling having had moderating the Pink'Un forum added to his job description ......
With players signed so far and assuming a 4-2-3-1 base formation, might this be our starting lineup? Gunn Aarons Duffy Gibson Giannoulis Sara McLean Sainz Barnes Hernandez Sargent Obviously, should Aarons leave, Stacey would take his place.
October 21st is going to be an interesting date - Daniel Farke (who has just been appointed Leeds manager) comes to Carrow Road
So after a curious start to the pre-season what hints can we extract from the mix of experience and youth on show last night? Well there was the goal which blended that range, as Paddy Davitt points out: "Fast, aggressive intent on the counter in transition, with pace in wide areas, merged in an excellent first goal of the Championship build up. Jacob Sorensen’s intelligent turn lost his marker deep in his own half and there was an immediate response from Kellen Fisher and Jon Rowe to surge forward down the right. The Dane’s clip on his left was controlled by teenage summer signing Fisher, who shovelled it onto Rowe to guide a low, angled finish into the bottom corner. It was the type of incision Wagner built his reputation on in this country at Huddersfield." At 19, Fisher may have to wait to make his league debut given the performance of Stacey later, but Sørensen, playing in his natural position and Rowe returning from an injury dogged season could both be key players this season. Pace is going to be a key aspect of Wagner's tactics, and Rowe, Hernandez, Placheta and Springett all have that. In the first half Barnes provided leadership for the young attacking players around him as he barked instructions. We lacked that last season and it could could yield more when Sargent, Idah and Sainz are available. The defence lacked cohesion in the absence of Hanley, Omobamidele and Duffy. Gibson was out jumped for Barnet's goal. Both Fisher and Stacey showed promise at RB but all the FBs were at times caught upfield when Barnet hoofed the ball forward and that's something Wagner will need to work on. The midfield was weakened by the absence of Sara and McLean, but Núñez, Sørensen, Gibbs and the newly arrived Manning seemed to do well enough for a first pre-season outing. Wagner on transfers and aims for the preseason: "All the lads are back now, including the internationals, and we will now work hard in pre-season to ensure by the end we are one of the fittest teams with a clear idea on how we like to play in ball possession and out of ball possession. We want to be very uncomfortable to play against."
Wagner on the impact of Barnes and Duffy: "Both have shown what great lads they are. Always in front of the group at every training session. Setting the bar high, setting the right standards. Ashley Barnes was with us the whole time from the start of the pre-season. Shane Duffy came since last weekend. It is not just about the character when you speak about those two, they are setting the standards. There is not a shadow of doubt you will see a difference in the squad and the changing room. Even before the (Barnet) game it was much more lively in the dressing room when we went out for the first half than many Championship games last season. That was the truth. We have an exciting group who like to challenge themselves, and we will challenge them as coaches as well. Then let's see what is possible and what we can get out of the season. I’m excited.” Might this lead to a Holt like leadership impact under Lambert?
