I hate sweetners and always have done, I also don't like the marketing of products that make the big claim of no added sugar, but then chuck that shhite in it.

Nitrate is difference in the sense of it being a presevative. Aspartame is being used to substitute sugar and markets itself indirectly on 'diet' products - I'm not aware of nitrate making any claims.

It's not for me but I know plenty of people drink diet coke.

 

used to drink full fat coke, then stopped on the fizzy as i wanted to get fitter and not get so chunky

recently every now and again would supplement my meal with coke zero/diet coke. I knew about the aspartame stuff before hand but now the missus has shown me the article (i.e. telling me to stop drinking it) i will go back to full fat coke

Difficult with neighbours because it's up to them what they do and they might love their new washing line. They have attached it to the fence post though which I think will damage the fence over time.

 

Yeah the direct marketing of products containing Aspartame being healthier because they have no sugar is dangerous and misleading and should rightly be shut down.

Nitrates are probably just as bad for you, and they are used in all sorts of food too.

Along with all sorts of processed crap, we're slowly creating a generation of people with long term chronic inflammatory diseases, diabetes, IBS etc and on it goes.

Great fodder for the Pharma industry though coz they can sell more pills to more people for longer and longer.
