I think I've used duff as a bedding for patio slabs. It's another word for stone dust. B&Q seem to call it ballast.
Ballast is sand and stone chippings to make concrete, most used to call it all in. I use stone dust on thin layers to level slightly uneven areas or after whacking it on top of scalpings/ hard core a mixture of big medium and small stone with some dust in it. Bed slabs on a layer of sharp sand n cement to level them.
I will believe it when I see how we recruit and what we recruit, can have all the back room staff in the world, will not make an ounce of different without the players.
I would argue the coach is the most important signing any club can make but yes, time will tell if the club come good on what is usually empty rhetoric. Otherwise it's just the usual BS, which we're all sick of. I'm hopeful there's something good brewing but please feel free to remind me at the end of the season what a naive chump I was
I would argue that the coach is important but the swans could have PEP in charge but if you have newports players he isn’t going to do well in the championship. So it’s no good having a great coach and crap players.
It’s all guess work and made up at the moment, reading all I have read Southampton starting 11 next season will be the whole swans team from last season apart from the keeper.
I know I'm an old fart but Russell Martin never seems to talk in proper sentences. e.g. "When I met Jason (Wilcox, director of football) Rasmus (Ankersen, CEO of Sport Republic), Henrik (Kraft, Saints chairman) and Dragan (Šolak, chairman of Sport Republic), how they spoke about the club." I'm anticipating what happened when he met these four but it's not a proper outcome “A lot of conversations, it was a really thorough process, a lot of hours spent together chatting about football, about developing young people, developing players, about developing something on the pitch that connects everyone." That's not a proper sentence either.
I am hoping that we manage any outgoings more professionally this time. should any good players be sold then I will be disappointed if they go to rivals in the championship. Let’s show ambition, sell no one to Southampton unless they want Fisher, Piroe to EPL side if he does not stay. I want the yanks to back this manager.
It looks like we are signing Josh Ginnelly from Hearts on a free. A 26 year old winger who scored 12 goals last season. Good news in my view if we are going with wingers again.
