Leeds have only extended Forshaws contract so they can send him on loan to the physio...

Joking aside, I really hope we haven’t offered him a contract. Whilst I know it’s not been his fault but he’s stolen a living off the club and needs moving on.

This is the sort of player we need and should have signed but Leicester straight in and snap him up for peanuts. Remember season before last he was Wolves skipper and Wolves fans gutted when they let him go out on loan to Everton but he didn’t like the ginger whinger so went back to Wolves instead of Everton signing him….

Spot on again Doc. Exactly the type of defender needed for the championship. You wonder if the delay in sorting out coach etc. is beginning to have a negative effect.

According to oddschecker, Leeds at 50/1 is the second most popular bet on the relegation market. I guess a lot of people think we're not going to start very well.

What on earth could give them that idea?

Thank you Doc. As an expert I am certain you know that Depreciation and Ammortisation are actually virtually identical in that they point to the current residual value of an asset. Of course, ammortisation is generally used for an intangible asset (such as goodwill), whereas, depreciation is for a fixed asset. I would suggest (not that it makes any difference either way), as a capital purchase, the value of a player should be depreciated over the length of his, her, they, it contract. Maybe, for whatever reason, football clubs call it amortisation but the bottom line is Koch (read “any player”) or indeed, any machine is not on the books at its purchase value, it is on at its current residual or book value. That is why the concept of the 49ers being shocked at these loan deals is, frankly, bonkers!

Your example of Koch only being worth £3.3 million to the club is excellent because it explains why, a loan fee and wages covered means we have lost way, way less than the £15 million we paid or “could have won” if we had sold him. If I want to sell my old machine for the £250k I paid for it, or, even more because that is what they cost now, I am out of luck because someone will only pay what it is worth on the open market. If they know I only own it for another year, they would offer even less and I might just take it :emoticon-0148-yes:

This is the world of football and agents and greed. Any comparison to normal businesses went out the window years ago. You may think your machine is only worth so much but if someone else wants it you can perhaps ask more. We have new players in football now loaded with money and importing players to their leagues.

He's **** and can only play in a back three.

Dyche knows a defender IMO and he wasn't good enough for Everton.

It's a no from me although he maybe better than Koch and co but that's an extremely low bar.
