Scientists have found a new Mayan city in the jungle of mexico. Absolutely love this sort of thing. Us humans crack on with AI and the like, we still havent seen or learned all that went before us.
I remember a pint of Tartan going from 10p to 11p. That was a huge increase. How could a schoolboy be expected to afford that !
I know, my first pint, in The Norseman, Peterlee. 18 pence 18 bloody pence, sheer bloody extortion. Oh and I got thrown out, but fair play they let me finish the pint first. Actually might be a new thread where did you have your first pint and how much did it cost
Is that with LiDAR? **** it is. And in the Yucatan, where I'm off to in September. Better put the fedora and whip in the case.
Just seen something online saying Gary Neville is going to be on Dragons Den as a guest Dragon! The article describes him as "ex-professional footballer turned businessman extraordinaire Gary Neville" Are you a businessman extraordinaire if you have a career that you can retire from in your early 30s as a millionaire and that money enables you to invest in property and whatever else he has done? Oh and your career enables you have a couple nights a week job that pays you just over a million a year!
Berwick upon Tweed can get some visitors in a bit of a muddle. The town was occupied by the Scots on many occasions, the locals speak with a light Scottish accent, they worship in the Church of Scotland, eat Scotch pies and drink pints of Bellhaven Heavy. To top it all, despite being English their football team plays in the Scottish League !
Just got back from a funeral on Teesside, drove over this morning no problem 1 hr 40. Left at 1pm took us 3 hours.....A66 Brough accident, Air Ambulance job, we were 300 yards from the turn off, stuck over an hour until a policewoman arrived and sorted out the wagon drivers who wouldn't go down the slip road because of their weight restrictions. She made them cross over the Kirkby Stephen road and park up on the other slip road allowing cars etc to escape the chaos. Never been so pleased to see a bobby, thought these wagon drivers were supposed to be the professionals of the road, utter numpties. The road isn't expected to reopen til 8pm.
This has just been on BBC news Somebody has built this on a hill in The Lake District . . . . it's apparently one of a few anonymously erected, similar, structures, which are very good Here's another . . . .
