I wasn’t sure they released him as much as he was coming to the end of his contract? Maybe I’m wrong, but possible he told them he was leaving so technically released, but not in the traditional sense?
I've read a few contrasting articles. In one, Abu himself claimed that he had been released, but another mentioned that it was 'regretful for Chelsea to be losing the youngster for free'. And in another one it stated that Graham Potter was keen on Abu earlier in the season, so much so that he promoted him to training with the first team. I think he was well aware he had other options as he has been on trial at a few other clubs.
Yeah, kind of how I see it. See how he goes. I love him based on the 30 seconds of you tube hatrick assists v Blackpool, that I think was actually only a brace as technically one of the goals wasn’t a pure assist. Be gutted if we don’t tie it up now. Pretty clear KWP will be off, even if this guy didn’t come it.
CDM is definitely a priority for us. I wouldn’t trust Diallo to do a decent enough job in the championship, so it’s good we’re being linked with Downes & Breckin. what’s the loan limit in the championship?
We need a top top level DM. Grimes is a number 8 4 me, I'd still want someone with mobility and Romeu about him.
Not sure it requires someone who is top level. Take Marvelous Nakamba for example. He looked dreadful for Villa; way out of his depth in the PL. Even worse than Diallo. He then goes on loan to Luton last season, and becomes a standout player for them at Championship level sitting in CM.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea all in the race for Lavia. My money is on Fulham. They're too big to refuse.
Surely we will get an incredible fee. He is only one year into a long contract and is wanted by almost all the top clubs.
Hopefully north of 60mill with a nice sell on clause. The sell on clause is vital because his next move could well be 100mill+ to Real Madrid.
