Floyd has changed his plans, no longer is he ready to fight on May 5th for a potential clash with Manny Pacquiao, he now plan to fight again in February.

No opponent named as yet but it not going to Erik Morales.

Any suggestions who Mayweather's next opponent should be in February?

Larry Merchant? Whoever it is it's not going to be exciting is it? I honestly don't think there is anyone that he could fight in Feb that would test him. Down the line I would like him to fight Pac, Sergio Martinez or Amir Kahn but they won't happen in Feb.

Good pick, It can't be Pacquiao or Khan because of their fights, Pacquiao's just gone and Khan's in December. But Martinez should be free on that date.

If Martinez vs Mayweather fight happens, then should be a good one, but I sense it not going to happen.

Rumours are that it could be Devon "It Burns it Burns" Alexander, which will be joke fight

Martinez is more than likley fighting Matt Macklin on St Patricks day so it won't be him either providing they can get that fight on. Alexander would be joke if it's him I agree.

He should fight Manny Pacquiao - he never will though, coz he's a chicken-****.

I dont get why he is fighting in Feb. Martinez is the only opponent who is viable at this stage (and he could be fighting Macklin).

WOW! well rounded opinion then smart guy, the only reason that fight will not happen is BA he wont kill the cow for a while look how many times the guy changes lines on the subject.

basically a Feb fight means no Pacman fight until at least this time next year. I have given up on it happening and it's boxings loss

if it was a big fight hed make it further in the future to allow a bigger build up and promotion etc. so i think we can rule out martinez, hmm i honestly think it might be alexander, bradley, berto.

one thing is for sure if its in feb i doubt floyd will be changing his weight he will want someone to either move down or up to fight him. possibly even someone like maidiana or mcclosky, i dont know why but i can see it being an opponent who previously has given khan trouble just to fuel the khan v mayweather noise which is about theese days.

Roberto Guererro, seem to be the leading name at the momemnt to fight Mayweather next, with many experts thinking this could be a very tough fight for Mayweather, even though Guererro the former featherweight has never fought above 135lbs.
