I have said before, I don't think we will get the full£25m in one lump sum. To get to the £25m will require add ons imo. I hope I'm wrong, but can't see it unless sides don't get their main targets as the season approaches/starts, so they panic buy, and spend more than they would at this time of year. It's a game of patience for City.
We won’t sell if our valuation isn’t met, it’s the same for any club, it’s why we are still in negotiations with Derby for their guy. I’m pretty sure it’s usually not all paid in one go, but in instalments, then add on for number of games played, league position, England caps etc. City want minimum £25m plus add ons to start negotiations
Only a handful at City know what's going on with Scott's transfer. All we can hope is we get upwards of £20 million for him. IF our lot know it's happening then I'd like to think we'll get a few transfers in before the rest know we're getting £20million.
Of course only a handful of people know the full facts of any transfer, but the club have made it public knowledge £25m is their valuation to begin talks, and that they aren’t desperate to sell. SL’s wealth helps because we aren’t seen as a club with no financial backing. I’m sure a lot of the paper talk is hype to push his value up, but with so much interest that helps too. They haven’t sold cheaply for a while now, even under Ashton. I think it’s still in the balance whether he goes or stays.
Fulham man ‘in talks’ to join Millwall despite Bristol City transfer attempt A move to Bristol City’s Championship rival would represent a change in transfer stance from their former target. https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...despite-bristol-city-transfer-attempt-4196486
Interesting regards Bryan -supposidly wanting to play abroad.-Now Millwall are in for him may be no interest abroad now.

That’s very kind of you, they can’t they’re in a period of austerity, they have to watch their spending. would you spend, for instance £2k for a car when you believe it’s only worth £1,500, especially when moneys tight, and there are plenty of other cars out there, equally as good, and some are only £1,500, if we feel he’s worth it and he’s value for money then we will raise our bid, equally if we don’t we’ll walk away. We complain about Ashton spending money like it was out of fashion, we now have people in place that are prepared to walk away if they believe the deal isn’t in the clubs best interests.

A good insight to the Joe Bryan situation. It seems Joe was honest about having reservations, and it seems both parties did the right thing in not progressing it. NP is dead right, we cannot carry players, they have to want to be at City, and want to fight to win for BCFC.
