They are going to have nothing to do with the running of the club, they are just investing a small amount of their money.

Yes, but hopefully more successful over a longer time frame.

So now a 16 year plan seems to be familiar.

I think the thing for me is all I read is endless rumours of who is leaving, nothing about any players we’re linked to bringing in (and I don’t mean players that the fans would like to bring in).

Ryan Manning is heavily linked. He's a left back from Swansea who last year had 5 goals and 10 assists. He is out of contract and we are rumoured to have an agreement in place ready to go. 27 years old Republic of Ireland International.

Jayson Molumby is an aggressive defensive midfield pivot who was really impressive at West Brom last season. A Republic of Ireland International who has historically been pretty average but he had a huge season last year. Only 23 years old. He is still under contract but it's understood that West Brom need the money after the parachute money has dried up. Reported that Leeds are already in contact over him and the deal is nearly sorted. This hinges on Tyler Adams leaving the club.

Viktor Johannson is a 24 year old Rotherham keeper who was released by Villa and Leicester but has since moved up the leagues with Rotherham and was arguably the Championship best keeper last season. Leeds are heavily linked given the fact that Meslier looks like leaving and Robles has been released. Johannson isn't on big money at Rotherham and would jump at the chance to step up.

They are the big three rumours that won't go away. Obviously the ownership and manager needs resolving before these are finalised and players need to leave before replacements come in.

Good, I don’t want any of our players joining Everton, skint ****s. That said, I never felt we got the very best out of him because of the preference for Bamford.

Manning is a great shout, and he's out on contract at Swansea. Southampton are also after him.

I'm not saying that they are correct but they are the three that won't go away. They've been hanging around for weeks. Firpo needs to go before Manning comes in. If Adams leaves then Molumby will replace him although Molumby might be the first signing announced as Roca looks like he's gone. If and when Meslier leaves then Johannson will come in with Klaasen as 2nd choice.

It's all about reducing the wages before spending.

Imagine the players returning back to Thorp Arch in a few days, and find the place deserted?

Next week Emu is imminent week we may get a green light and imminently get a manager and then imminently some new players to replace the imminent leavers. Never fear the club ate on it as we start back in 7 days <laugh>
