I think they're going to have to go with someone not tainted by the current shambles. Wallace, Mordaunt or Tugenhadt would be my guesses, but it could be someone from the next generation.

There were no 'unofficial deals'. Farage wasn't in a position to fight every seat, it's democracy and as official as it gets. Every party has the democratic right to choose which seat to contest.

In any case your figures don't add up.

You claim that the Brexit Party took away 8,000 votes from the Tories when, in reality, they increased their vote while Labour lost 12,000. So, you couldn't be more wrong mate.

Yvette Cooper had 30,000 votes in 2017.

    Conservatives had 15,000 votes.

She had 18,000 votes in 2019.

    Conservatives had 17,000 votes.

Cooper actually had a loss of 12,000 votes.
The Brexit Party gained 8,000 votes, mainly from her, not the Tories

Cons had 17000 not 15000 , watched a report leading up to this vote which was on national television and the local residents were not happy with Cooper and were determined to vote her out, ultimately it didn’t happen, but anybody can see she was a very lucky lady with the 25000 Brexit influenced vote being split, but that’s democracy and we move on

She lost 12,000 votes while the Tories increased their vote.

    What you said wasn't correct.

She lost 12,000 votes in a seat she'd easily won two years before ...

... of course she wasn't lucky.

The Tories increased their vote so The Brexit Party took her votes not from the Tories as you claimed.

Your figures are wrong, you said the Brexit Party took over 8000 votes away from the Tories when the Tories increased their vote by 2,000.

Yvette Cooper had 30,000 votes in 2017.
    Conservatives had 15,000 votes.

She had 18,000 votes in 2019.

    Conservatives had 17,000 votes.

Cooper actually had a loss of 12,000 votes.

So you are saying that in a Brexit influenced election of 2019 where there was a 25000 split vote against her 18000 votes and she wasn’t lucky?,nowt more I can say

You can say she's lucky if you like, that's your opinion ...

... but the figures you claimed are just wrong, miles wrong.

The Tories increased their vote so The Brexit Party took Cooper's votes not from the Tories as you claimed. No one took votes from the Tories, their vote increased.

    Nowt more I can say.

"A senior Tory knighted in Boris Johnson’s honours list has been accused of a fresh conflict of interest, after it emerged that he helped arrange a Tory fundraiser at the V&A while he was both a trustee of the museum and the party’s chair."
